@@waitingforpapatobless7540 Wow! Looking at all those thumbs up under your comment, it seems like a lot of people agree with you. Oh... my bad. That’s my comment. Looks like nobody cares about what you think.
I feel like Brad would have a hilarious show teaching things to his kids... I just imagine his enthusiasm and focus would be totally upended by children and it would be so funny
The hosts that left ragged on Brad for being a "dumb guy". That always sounded snobby to me. Brad is real, he's humble, and always willing to learn. He does attempt to steal the show by talking so much, but since it's based off of his inquisitive nature it's clearly not intentional. And at the end of the day, Brad brings in the views. Even after the backlash. I still watch the same chefs, just some of them are on a different channel.
@@jolvergan7878 They might be better cooks but if you're not entertaining you're not worth much on this type of content. Those comments were really weird for sure.
Absolutely. I turned up the volume because I couldn't hear them and then actually hurt my ears when the intro music blasted me away. Whoever did this needs to not be allowed to touch another video until they learn how to adjust levels properly.
You know what I find funny, it's the same editors that worked on the previous version of bon appetit, that are on this relaunch. And yet no one ever complained about the sound. Not once!
Thank you Brad for acknowledging that your host gave you the better burner and stood in the mud for you. That was really special to me, I met many people who just felt entitled and treated generous people as exploitable knock-overs. You were raised right and continue a valuable tradition. ♥️
As a Canadian, this is by far my favourite episode! And it also inspired me to go out to a maple farm and actually try tapping; hopefully when this pandemic is over
When I lived further north, though still ON, I remember we had an annual field trip to the nearest maple farm and everyone always got excited to eat the hot syrup they poured on snow. Looking back we were living stereotypes
In the early season, it's a Canadian tradition to take a ladleful of just boiled syrup, throwing it in some clean snow and using a stick to roll the hardening syrup before eating
This is nostalgic for me, my great uncle owned a sugarwood with the metal buckets and all of that. We would go there in the spring to help him collect them all. Whole family would show and all the cousins would ride on the tractor and trailer and pick up the buckets to dump into this big trailer vat that he would bring around to the barn where he had his boilers set up. Huge maple shack meal for everyone made by his wife. Awesome times.
Glad im not the only one, i turned my volume right up because brad was so quiet and just about got deafened by the intro. Its really not that hard to balance audio, most programs can even do it automatically, really no excuse for that.
They're both outdoorsy/woodsy people. I liked Chrissy's vids before this one, but her and Brad (and Levon of course!) Mingled into a very cool, informative, entertaining and cool video!
Sugar sand isn’t sugar crystals, it is minerals that precipitate out of the syrup. It doesn’t change flavor much, but it does make syrup look less pretty
idk if anyone wants to know but that kind of branching brads talking about is called dichotomous branching and it’s a great start to identifying trees, especially in the winter when there’s no leaves ☺️
if I knew Brad irl I'd never ever see the knowledge bombs he drops coming. I'm not surprised but I'm always super blindsided by his consistent knowledge on all types of stuff, within his field or out.
@@MattBailz he’s been slowly increasing the volume each episode at some fraction of a decibel...by the end of the series it’s gonna be like a Freight Train coming through your living room.
took me a little bit to start watching the new chefs but theyre personalities are absolutely incredible. good on BA for actually taking steps to correct what they have done wrong in the past. Chrissy, Harold , DeVonn, Melissa, Lana, Samantha, Susan, & whoever I'm missing have more than shown why they deserve to be on display. Keep on being amazing yall!
