Dad Leone has been making these links Brad’s entire life and now this generation-spanning recipe will be forever enshrined in Brad’s new book “Field Notes For Food Adventure.”

You can twist and tie off the sausage links without any twine. Tie the ends off first. find the center of the long link. and twist several times. Then, twist desired links once each. Twist the links together once or twice. Then, loop one side through the hole you have created. Repeat the process until you reach the end.

cheap alternative to a sausage stuffer is to cut out the bottom of a 2 liter or 1 liter bottle and attach the casing to the neck of the bottle and then just push meat through the other side! My mom does this all the time!
