4 blades that are engineered in a sandwich style attachment which requires the operator to stop working, hammer the blades out, and replace them if they bend. Then there is 19 teeth $40 each and have to be replaced if you hit the ground or rocks. So, the engineers need to be fired and back to the drawing board, because this is one of the most expensive units on the market. I will be buying a different cutter. Thanks for a truthful description and review.

Hey! You're welcome. That's what we're all about. Bradco makes a great product here and like anything, there is plusses and minuses. When we discuss those benefits and cons with customers, we're upfront about it and often times... The benefits outweigh those cons. The Bradco Ground Shark can do a number of jobs well, but it's not the best at anything. In our opinion, it's the best all around cutter, but it's worth noting that when running the Extreme Duty Ground Shark for heavy uses, things can get expensive when parts need replacing. Thanks for watching and Commenting!

You don't have to replace the mulching teeth. Only if you want to keep mulching. Every single mulcher out there requires sharp carbide teeth. They are all expensive. That's why you charge customers more for mulching vs cutting. You have to price the jobs accordingly to pay for the wear and tear.

@@survivalguyfyi5718 in my case, I am the customer. I don’t provide cutting and mulching for anyone other than myself.

MyRU-vidChannel; hey I get it man. I’m trying to decide what cutter to get. I need to know what weight and flow requirements I will need to meet so I can start shopping for a skid steer that meets my needs. I plan on using mine on my own property and side jobs. I agree that the blade being sandwiched could be an issue. Luckily there are other brands out there. It may be worth looking into the higher priced units purely for the high quality motors used. I’ve heard of people buying lower cost units and having the motors fragment, sending debris through the skid steer’s hydraulic system. That’s about a 10 to 12K repair bill. Not including the cutter. I forget what the real good motor brand is but you may want to look into Blue Diamond cutters or some of the cutters by Quick Attach. But as far as the carbide teeth, you don’t need to replace those when they wear. Only if you want that additional function. I’ve looked at probably over 20 cutters with carbide teeth and they are all expensive to replace. It’s the main reason I will be going with the axe type cutter vs the drum type that only use carbide teeth and no axe/blade to do the work. So I would say “definitely stay away from the drum type cutters”. Those things get expensive to run. I wanna say they wear at a rate of around $15 to $20 an hr. And if you hit a steel pipe or a big enough rock, you’re out a few grand in a split second. The blades/axes can take a much bigger beating and can be replaced for $100-$200. I don’t know how handy you are but if my future cutter has carbide teeth on the bottom, I may try building the carbide cutting edge back up with some hard-facing welding rod and re-sharpening. Also, many brands use carbide teeth that you can flip over to expose a fresh cutting edge. Just some ideas. A little off subject but I may buy a bobcat brushcat first. Don’t know if you’ve seen those. Not as heavy duty but at 3 inch capacity, it’s tougher than my Bush hog. What’s so nice about it is the way it hugs un-even ground and cuts through thick wet grass as well. I wish you luck man. Let me know what you go with.

They are a great design but they don’t like small cedar trees it will pick up on top of the disk and stop it up and I got rid of mine after I broke the shaft that the head bolts to and almost got my operator hurt but awesome description of it
