In this episode of "Notes on a Scene," Bradley Cooper and director Guillermo del Toro break down the scene where Stanton Carlisle (Bradley Cooper) is on a manhunt at the carnival for a wild man that has escaped capture. Cooper and Del Toro explain how they built up the complexity of this scene by layering mazes and labyrinth-like funhouse elements while highlighting visual premonitions that appear throughout the film.

@delrey874 2 года назад
@@artietheonemanparty Yes, indeed. It's so sad that these films don't make money, it's so cruel that films by great directors like del Toro, Spielberg, PTA, Ridley Scott, Wes Anderson, Edgar Wright, Eastwood, etc. don't do well at the box office. When the studios stop giving them budgets, then cinema will really die. But the great news is that as streaming services make movies like Scorsese's, Jane Campion's and Adam McKay's, they are giving money to art houses and original films that may or may not be a hit. Maybe Netflix and Apple are the future of cinema, I don't know what the future of theatre will be, but at least they are giving a chance to films that other big studios are no longer making.

.Thanks for this interview. You have known how to give life to an extraordinary universe and at the same time so mysterious? It was in history the place of all oddities and exhibitions. You have infused it with a murky yet penetrating dimension and intoxicating with small details and darkness. We infiltrate Stan's soul to seize it in all its madness. Mr Guillermo knew how to create an originality and an intensity in the sets, the characters and the staging! Mr. Cooper does an exceptional job through the character of Stanton Carlisle. He knew how to give power to the character by making him evolve in the abyss of vices. He changes the register and shows how talented he is with his posture and the risks he took to bring Stanton to life. Mr. Cooper knows how to reinvent himself and that's what makes him an exceptional actor. This No longer the beauty that speaks and expresses itself but his great talent. He should not hesitate to take risks in the choice of his roles. Thank you for this interview, you help me move forward in my script and bring a new perspective and a new visual approach. I'll go see this movie to Paris.
