I'm with him about Lee's Hoagies shop. I lived in Philadelphia in the early 90's. I used to go to the Lee's in Wynnewood, PA. Their sandwiches were the best!
Great video. I saw him a few years ago where I live in Abington - That Lees Hoagie House on Old York Road is less than a 1/4 mile from me. He had the short cut hair so I guess it was during filming of "Silver Linings.." Yeah he really seems like real down to Earth guy. Jenkintown is really getting a name for itself, I saw an episode of ABC "The Goldbergs" Eh, it was ok, but I had no idea that show is based in the same town. Looking more into it, the real family lived literally a block up from Noble Train Station. Small world.
i went to abington. Pink is from CB West, Kat Dunning went to Friends Academy, Cooper is from Jenkinton, Benjamin Yentanyahu went to cheltenham that tall guy from Full House sitcom went to abington. its crazy how many, Lees is my favorite.
Yeah. It wasn't called that when he grew up there, tho. It was "Penn State Ogontz" or "Penn State, Ogontz Campus." They changed the name to Penn State Abington in the late 90s. I grew up literally next to that campus and used to play there all the time as a kid. It changed names a little before I started high school. Bradley Cooper is a little older than I am, so he would've been in his early 20s by the time the name changed.
He is from Jenkintown! Stop saying Philly. I love that he represents Philly but he ain't from here. Living in Jenkintown is like living on a different planet compared to living in Philly. It is a very safe and nice suburban life where he is from. You are kidding yourself if you believe Jenkintown is the same as Kensington or West Philly.
"Way outside"? Not at all. Sure, it's not close to Center City, but it's literally as little as 3 mins to get to NE Philly from Jenkintown. It's just 2.1 miles along Old York road from Jenkinton til you hit Cheltenham Ave, which is the border between Philly and Montco. Even in rush hour traffic, it's only about 5-7 minutes.
