The nose job was not vanity - it was the result of a broken nose. Yes, it sadly does change his look, but he is still lovely. Though, I do miss his normal accent. :P
Oh.. I was wondering why his nose looked different and wondered if he did get one. Which I thought would be weird because his nose was perfect. Such a pity it broke. His face used to be nearly flawless. Just didn't like the shape of his mouth.
They wouldn't totally reshape someone's nose into like that to fix a broken nose. He got it sculpted into a more conventional classically handsome shape. He's also done interviews where his forehead is botoxed and he's had his teeth done. It's his right to change himself if he wants to, and the acting profession causes people to scrutinize their own looks a lot. Looks play a significant part in casting, so actors naturally think maybe they would be getting cast in more roles and better roles if they looked different. And if they get their work playing handsome/pretty types they worry about aging badly. Also the media and masses judging actors' looks all the time publicly doesn't help things. There is stigma about cosmetic work, though, so celebrities would rather not admit to it even when it is obvious. Cosmetic work isn't viewed as "manly" either and Bradley plays tough guys. As I recall the story from his people was that his nose was broken in a sports game, an explanation that matched his macho acting persona. There wasn't any evidence of it being broken in a game or broken at all, however, and that explanation does not fit what was done to his nose. His Merlin co-star Colin Morgan got his ears pinned back like Neil Patrick Harris did, probably out of fear that his huge protruding ears would limit him to playing kids and dweebs forever. I liked his ears and Bradley's nose, but I understand that actors make professional choices about their bodies as freelancers in a hard industry worried about getting work.
I know he’s an actor but seeing all the behind the scenes stuff Merlin, he didn’t strike me as vain or someone who obsessed over his looks. His hair was messed up most of the time when he wasnt on set for god’s sakes.
Um, why does he look bigger, like...more buff. I always liked him like how he was in Merlin; lean, but you could still see that he was fit. This look doesn't suit him. He's still hot though, but seriously, he didn't need a nose job.
more buff than when he was in his mid-to late twenties in 'Merlin'? Bradley is somewhat stocky build and it looks he kept his shape quite nicely over the years.
@@bharati1872 the 'nose breaking' explanation for his surgery could be a ruse and he just wanted to get it done for professional reasons. Colin had surgery on his ears too.
I'm not a fan of Bradley james but I think he should do more regular TV shows. He likes to choose unique projects. I got his mind but not every project he does is interesting and good. Sorry. That's the truth .
