Just picked up two of these at Ollie's discount for $15 each. My son just finished his freshman year at college. Skating has been a big part of him making and maintaining friendships at university. He has been getting other people into skating loaning out his old board. At $15/ea, he could give these out to someone after loaning them his old board if they are interested. I am getting old and fat now, but these boards feel miles ahead of anything out there under say $60. Son likes it, little on the small size, but not unreasonably small, especially for a starter board. Good bearings, passable trucks, usable wheels, and decent pop. Folks, if you have an Ollie's near you, keep your eyes open for these.
Just picked mine up at my local Walmart. They said they didn’t have them in stock but I walked it and look there it was! Haven’t riden it yet but I’m excited to soon!
I got one yesterday just cause it's a braille board and they are legit. I can't skate it cause I skate 8.25, but finally a well built walmart board 👏. Kids everywhere will not have to face the plastic truck and plastic bearing struggle.
I still have a Darkstar complete I picked up for my youngest for $35 a few years ago and it rides well and has held up for several years. I need to see a side by side comparison before relinquishing GOAT status for Walmart skateboards. Lol
I sold my braille Walmart board to a coworker. I got to ride it twice it was pretty good the wheels that could grip linoleum, bearings were fast and it carved pretty well,I learned how to nollie on it.
I ran into a guy in his 50's who had apparently never been in a Walmart. He kept asking me questions like I worked there or something. Dude was amazed at all they had, giddy like a child. That was last Christmas.
Just grabbed 1 from local Walmart for my daughter for a whopping $19. I am very impressed by it. Especially considering it was a $20 walmart board. Not as nice as a $150+ setup of course, but wwwaaaayyyyyy better than any other board sold at walmart/target/kmart etc
Good job! All the things you've said is true. Not everyone can afford the skateboards in skateboard shops. And it's important that the most number of people get into skateboarding. If I were a beginner, I wouldn't go for the expensive skateboards immediately which I didn't when I first started. You have to understand why expensive ones are needed before you would buy one. But most people who buy those skateboards will rip the plastic off the bolts and trucks and not disassemble them which I did when I bought ones with plastic on. I wouldn't dare to disassemble it in case something goes wrong. I really think it's a good thing to make a diffusion product. And sometimes, it's all a beginner needs!
I just got one. Im hoping its better than the crappy Whitefang amazon skateboard I got before. Thanks for inspiring me to keep trying. Im just a nerd with very bad balance but I really want to learn to at least ride a board around :)
I just bought one of these because I love the channel, I removed the trucks and have it hanging on the wall. But I was surprised with the feel of the quality because I got mine for $27.95
Dumb question but for a person how is looking to get more serious for a fist time board would the best beginner complete on your website be a better option?
I just started skating, and I wanted to get my wife a skateboard so she could try it too. I am at the skatepark a lot and it would be awesome if she had a board so she could come along and learn to skate with me! This is perfect, a reasonably priced board that she can use to try it out and see if she wants to take up skateboarding! I am going to get her one for Christmas but how do you wrap it so she won't know what it is? Anyway I am going to Walmart next week to scoop one up for her! So thank you for making this board and making it available to so many people!
50$ is too high, 40 would be more realistic. Also. I have never seen this at a walmart once despite looking at every walmart i go to. Great concept, but...
