I'm a neuropsychologist and work primarily with alzheimer's disease of but went through clinical rotation with most types of brain injuries and organic disease and neuro stroke injuries. I'm finding this podcast very interesting.

I sustained a TBI from a fall with an initial GCS of 6; and induced coma for about two weeks. I've been enduring my own Invisible Injury for about 1.5y now. Currently I struggle most with sound (noise) and sometimes with speech. Oh, the stories I could (happily) share as a survivor! I am hugely thankful to both Drs. Carroll and McAllister for bringing this into the spotlight.

We should all be greatful to Dr. Bennett Omalu because he is the catalyst for all of this but suffered as a Blackman. As usual white people want to make every success about themselves.

I had a TBI with a GCS score of 8. I'm still alive somehow though. I have trouble controlling some of my body, but I think I regained all my mental faculties.

Please consider doing an episode on ME/CFS. Dr. Anthony Kamaroff just published an update article in JAMA that covers things well enough to get you started. I'd hoped to see something after the Feb. 10, 2015 IOM report, but now would also be a good time, since Stanford and Harvard just opened a new research center for ME/CFS in the Boston area. Thanks!

Not just mechanical force on the brain can create concussion... Especially in the presence of gut microbiota imbalance. Please look at Dr. Nemechek protocol and research.

Makes me second guess playing football. Remember some of those head ringers! Maybe that’s a good sign? all jokes aside, this is a serious issue in sports and a serious question for brain injuries in general.

Just lost 20 minutes of life … some may find this helpful, however I heard nothing new, nothing detailed, no admission of actual lack of knowledge nor any claims about findings that aren’t already long known… I know that this “discussion” podcast dates from some years ago, however it could have been described at lease in the notes as being info for novices.
