The magic trick here is how the moral of it all went over the head of most people. Most of the time you make immoral decisions for money, but as you can't see the potential harm (and the sham) you're totally into it.
I would have liked to see a little more explaination on the implications of this trick. Here is my thought. Theres no problem with smashing a toy, its inanimate and doesnt feel pain. But she would have felt guilty if she killed the chick with her own hands. The key factor here is "with her own hands", which would have made her feel bad. But I bet she eats chicken on a pretty regular basis and feels nothing, no remorse, no sadness or guilt, just yummy chicken. Because she didnt see all those chicks raised into chickenhood only to die for our filthy stomachs. Most people only feel bad when they themselves kill, but when someone else does it for them, no problemo.
YASSSSS ERIC! I remember in grade 4 we were watching Brain Games on RU-vid. We did it all the time at the end of the school day. I was in the bathroom. I walked through the door and suddenly, I see Eric Leclerc on the show and I was in awe. My jaw dropped. I ran into the room as if I were Sonic the Hedgehog and told everyone there. Nobody knew who he was accept for my friend named Jherzi. She watches Tricked and we were like eek! Probably one of the best episodes of Brain Games in my entire life! :D
She didnt hit the first cup because the chicks were surrounding it. They were there, because the chick in the cup was chirping and they wanted to help it. Either she saw the chicks and avoided them because she wanted nothing to do with smashing a chick, or because she instinctually knew there was something wrong with cup#1 because the birds surrounded it. The live bird in the cup allowed for the trick to work. It never would have worked with the plastic chick
Okay, for the people who are all, "She probably had chicken for dinner afterwards." Thing is, there's a difference between killing something for sport and killing something for food. I don't agree with people who kill for sport, but killing for food? Totally a natural thing to do. I'm pretty sure he would've stopped her if she _had_ chosen the wrong number.
But the amount of meat consumed daily by the average human could definitely be reduced. So we eat technically eat in abundance every time we head to McDonalds, for pleasure. Nowadays, we eat for pleasure.
Why do you kill for food,When we can just eat fruits & vegetables aren't they sufficient ? while You say we kill for food, actually we don't,most people just go and buy meat killed by others,if you want to eat you should have the guts to kill and prepare it by yourself as other animals do,that will be natural and not just going to malls to buy packets😏😒
toychristopher Morality. The little voice inside your head that tells you to do the right thing. At the beginning she agreed to play when she think the toy chick was the thing played on. But at the end she said she wouldn't agree to play in the first place if it was the live chick in the cups.
The chicken represents the livestock that people slaughter for food everyday. The cups are a barrier - a metaphor for the fact that most people don't look at the animals as living things, but just a meal to buy at a store. People dont know and dont care how their food is made, just like she did not see that the chick under the cup was real. She was perfectly fine with with smashing the cups when she only saw the chick as a plastic toy, but was not okay with smashing the cups when she found out it was a real chick. Similarly, people are okay with eating meats from animals from a store, yet if they see a cat being abused they say that we shouldn't harm animals. It's a painfully obvious message, idk how you people didn't get it. He practically said so at the end...
I wanted to chose #1 first thing. I think it's a force in that he has his body and the board positioned so that it's in a very inconvenient position for one to want to choose. If someone did happen to chose #1, they would just not use the footage (baby chicken guts everywhere; kidding; obviously would stop them then not use the footage) To say a swap/placement occured in this scenario is very likely wrong in my opinion.
What I don’t understand is when he says “check it out”, how does he know she wouldn’t decide to smash the cup instead, believing that the toy chick is under the cup?
+Carl Wong I think if she would have said no. one , he would have stopped her from smashing it and the video (as it would become a fail) would not be released on TV
its very simple actually. well look at the birds reaction . when there is only 3 cups which is 1,2 and 4 , the chicks only wnet between 1 and 4. now here where the trick starts. the birds went to cup number one . why ? the birds has their own senses of smell . and their tweets is as loud so the girl can't here that bird in cup 1. simple a that .
True, it's not about the subject of the video, and I hope it's okay to say, but this woman is one of the sexiest women I've seen lately. Her hair, her smile, her way of speaking. Who is she?? She's so beautiful!!! I hope Sarah will not see my comment here. If you, the woman in the video are reading this comment, please say something...
Unnecessarily killing an animal like in this case for a game raises the question of morality, eating on the other hand is something completely different, that is a necessity.
O my God NO, "i would never have done it" "I would not take a chance with any life", REALLY? Yet you go home and you cook "your" chicken, pork veal and so on, NICE. The world is field with hypocrites. Other then that , nice trick
I live in a forgein country (kuwait) did u see the real chicks that he had. in my country u can buy them as pets but what they do is take them straight away when they are born and spray paint them blue green pink etc. And sell them as pets and they also die quick from the paint because it has chemicals ..... once i baught one and it grew to be a chiken once i came back from school one day and i found that my grandparents have cocked it by accident for dinner he didnt know it was mine i didnt eat anything's exept pancakes for 5 days RIP Archie i swear that i am not lying 😣
Yeah, kinda interesting and yet most of us think the little chicks are adorable and yet some will go out and eat chicken. So the real Morality Illusion is to ask yourself, can YOU be just as compassionate about a chick or a grown chicken before her head is chopped off to become your 'food'. Animals are friends not food. The true illusion is that so many humans see a dead corpse as food and yet they will cuddle & be compassionate toward the same animal when she is ...'hidden under a plastic cup...' Think about morality. Is it only when you can see the baby chicken or are able to take the next step and stop exploiting animals and go 'plant based for life'. ? It's not a choice really as the vulnerable beings have NO CHOICE at all....
Im lost do people not like moral standards. It's different then Creed witch i do not agree with. moral standards are what you believe is good or bad right and wrong.
I wonder if she pays for the murder of other animals though. crazy how doing something, or not doing in this case, directly changes how you feel about animals.
