Two nights ago I introduced my younger brother to this gem & when it was finished he gave it a 10/10. A great movie from my childhood & I think people just need to sit back & watch stuff like normal people then we’ll enjoy it.
3:16 Sgt Watkins: NO! Sgt Watkins: Give me the nuke! Johnny Rico: Are you trying to be a hero Watkins?! Sgt Watkins: Trying to kill some bugs sir....get outta here...GET OUTTA HERE!
Gotta love the brass with the chords right before the intense heroic moment. That’s my favorite part of this track. Literally when Im lifting, I’ll rewind it to just a few seconds behind for the build up. For king and country, long live the galactic Empire!
Yeah. He knew he was done for, considering where he was impaled. So he decided to go down defiant to the end, hoping that Carmen would be able to use the knife to escape.
This movie failed because people are generally to stupid to see the irony and humour in it. And the rest, who might have read the book, disliked it for not following the story (it wasnt even originally intended to be named after it). But it is a gem, and has one of the best osts ive heard. And most of the animations in it hold well even today!
Attackmack ya well critics were stupid back then , they also didn't think much of " Waterworld ," yet a sailing version of a doomsday mad max is even more impressive then the vehicle one & still to this day 2018 nobodies done a movie like it. Also " Tank girl " was good for a comedy / action . I watched starship troopers last night after a long 7 year break or less .it was brilliant , perfect timing , balance, being able to relate with the characters ages . great movie and it still holds up for 97 movie wow. Still no StarCraft movie either? Its 2018 .... Planet side 2 movie? Warhammer movie? Guild wars ? Magic the gathering movie? .... People undersaw the potential of the Warcraft movies in US too.... It did need more edgyness too it , yet they could've evolved it.
This movie was very underrated. Those who didn't like it, just didn't get it. Ironic humor eludes most American audiences. The music is so moving, it sends chills up my spine. "Brainbug" is my favorite. This is as good as anything by Goldsmith, Williams or Bernard Herrmann. He is so missed. And what do we have now? No-talent, non-musician turds like Hans Zimmer who has whatever "music" he attaches his name, ghost-written by young, stupefied musicians, whose talent is supressed under his heavy, chubby little hand and smug little smile thinking to himself, "I've got away with it again. He's a businessman. A musical entrepreneur. Zimmer lives while Herrmann, Pouledoris and Goldsmith are gone. God, how I wish it was the other way around.
Hey, as much as I love Jerry Goldsmith, John Williams (He's atill alive, though.) and Bernard Hermann, Hans Zimmer is just as great as these guys. He just has a different kind of music.
1:10 Holy molly this Xander just got his brain sucked ! I was so chocked when i was young. This was fucking gore when the brain sucked Xander. I made nightmares haha
