This is undeniably the best Brainiac we have seen on screen since the DCAU, Smallville and Superman Unbound incarnations of the character. From the design to the parallels to Zod to the imperialistic ambitions to the soft, mock soothing, not quite monotone but on the border of monotone voice to the twisted father/daughter dynamic of Kara and him, the resentment of his creators` "weakness "in choosing peace for their kids` safety, everything was done so well balancing the Kryptonian and android sides of the character excellently!

"You are the thing you hate" fits how Primus Brainiac resents his Kryptonian creators, especially the House of El, for embodying the hope, love and "weakness" he seeks to "purge" so that his Empire may rise again, better and more efficient and powerful than ever!
