Great video, I was on the phone today with the owner Ronnie, from CCI. they discontinued the brand you have, which is the X-line. I was like damn. i really like the X-line cover look.. he sent me a few pictures of their new covers. i will be ordering them tomorrow for my 2019 Challenger R/T. and have them custom painted myself. Question, i see this video is 4 yrs ago. do you still have the charger? if so, did you have any problems with the covers at all?
I have the MGP covers. The magnetic attachment would make me nervous that those covers will detach with one good bump, especially the rear with that taped on strip. I hope that tape holds up over time with wet roads and dirt/dust accumulation.
Robert. I plan on doing a review video at some point. So far so good, but I do agree with your concern and it also has me skeptical. The day after the install I took a road trip to a show and the covers held up fine, but I do check them after every time I drive. Thank you for your comment.
Have you taken any longer trips? Or did any continuous hard braking? I think magnets will hold through some rough conditions. My only concern is the 3m tape. I know its the heavy duty stuff. But depending on heat, and so forth and so on. How about removal of the tape overtime? All questions I'll ask CCi, I ordered some last night. I also had the MGP before. I like the looks of the CCI.
Thomas Armour the tape is what I am most skeptical about. I didn’t place one of the rear covers properly at first so I had to replace the tape because once you take it off i wouldn’t stick anymore. So far so good. I took a 1.5hr trip to a show and the didn’t move. I have also washed my car several times, and check them periodically.
I am still super happy with them. They are still in place and look just as good. I want to say they improved the magnet for an even better hold. Go check them out.
@@carsngrub got an email back saying they are discounting it in the near future but please check out our side marker tint.. oh well. Its not that hard to put tint on side marker. BTW the tint on the tail lights looks good. I think the new brake caliper covers are much better.. plus they match the paint
They have held up great. There was nothing wrong with them. As for the 2 brands I would go with CCI just because of the look. The MGP covers are also good and durable. I think its a preference of the looks between the 2 covers.

Good question. No issue with that so far. Maybe its because they look too good to realize they are just covers. I someone wants to steal something bad enough they will do it anyway. I get that questions about my brakes often. When i tell them that those are just covers, they are always like "Nice, looks good".
