Thanks Scott, almost 3 months of continuous rain (aside from the odd day or two), most of us here have had enough for the time being. But there is still more forecast for about another month! My feet are becoming webbed like a ducks!! Ha ha!!
Good one Pete, we have used a third party hvras for measure up and inspection to try to avoid delays at the transport office, we have found they have been quite reasonable
Hi Bruce, it was great to have a chat on the phone the other day. Knowing what the DOT are like, I usually try to allocate enough time for any unforeseen delays. These days, however, they seem to be pretty good with their 'customer service' skills. Looking forward to catching up. :-)
When you were flaring the line made me think. Sometimes if I cut a steel gas or some sort of oil line and want to replace a section with hose I will use the little piece with flaring tool to put a slight bulb in the end of the steel line so hose has much less chance of slipping off. Just a tip for viewers. The Department of Transport seems to charge you for everything over there mate, next they’ll charge you to walk in the door or answer the phone. I think we better not complain here.
Hi Geoffrey, that's a great idea about the bulb on the end. I have a 'bead roller' for larger pipes, but nothing for the smaller ones. Whatever they're paying you, I think they should double it!! :-) Thanks for the tip.
