I got the same replacement taillight, fuck that gasket, shitty ass clips holding it on compared to the original assembly had to tape it down to be able to get it in

What do you do if the taillight won’t even come off? I’ve tried three times but the cover comes off and I have to glue it back on. I wedge a flat head behind the rubber gasket, but it still refuses to pop out

Sorry to hear you are having trouble. Did you reach on the inside of the trunk where the brake light is located and unscrew the nut from the accordion piece, if so you will need to apply more pressure to get it out. If you try to locate one of the tabs with a small flat tip or trim tool and press down on it. Hope this help.
