It's final assembly time! The Crate Camaro and its ZZ4 crate engine are going together: radiator, steering, brakes, brake lines, drive shaft, fuel tank and fuel lines. Plus all the panels and the windshield and trim! Then it's a flashback to a Ford muscle car that was better on the track than the strip... the fabled '69 Boss 302!

You should watch South Main Auto. This vehicle being built is a "PERSONAL BUILD CAR" with many many personal options with a brand new retro look that just can't go away. Love every second of this "PERSONAL BUILD CAR" Nice to know this can be purchased, I had know idea. It appears as though most parts can also be purchased from your favorite parts store as well. COOL BUILD Lou.

I was actually looked up dynacorn and looked at them on year one but only one had a price and generally they're about 15 to 16 grand for the Shell with doors and trunk lid I was hoping they'd be cheaper but it technically is a brand new car but then you also have everything else that's going to go into it I mean either way if you want a nice 67 through 69 Camaro it's going to be expensive I just don't know about the headache with tiling it cuz it's going to have to be inspected and depending on where you live

One thing I never see mentioned when anyone is building a vehicle from scratch. Since you guys used a new body etc what is done about the VIN number. Does the state issue one or do you not need one. Great build, I wold like to try and win it but as a Canadian I can't. Keep up the good work.

Are you able to title a build like that? I mean I'm sure you can but I have no idea that's awesome that you literally can buy everything brand new to build a 69 Camaro

That is my question as well. The internet is less than helpful. It appears it can be done just a pain to do so.

@@bmstylee I'm sure where there's a will there's a way it can be titled as a new-build and come with a new vin plate or identification number. I look them up 3 year one and dynacorn there 15 to 16 Grand Camaros really aren't my thing I really wish they made a 68 reproduction body charger but they only make a 70 Challenger. I would spend 15 to 16 K on a reproduction 68 Charger only because that's my dream car and they are far and few between and have the people that have them and willing to let go are ridiculous with the prices

@@therowdytimes7512 collectable cars have gotten to be absurdly expensive regardless of what it is or condition at times. Even stuff from the 80s and 90s are getting pricy. If you want an old Jeep or a Chevy square body forget about it. I guess I'll make my 2017 Silverado my project car. First stop is new exhaust.

The body is $16,000 alone. Brakes are 2000+. Rear end is around $3000. The ZZ4 is around $5000. I mean I can go on. However given that first gen Camaro are getting absurdly priced(even bucket 67-69 Camaros are easily $10k+) this isn't a bad way to go. Especially for a drop top. Cost isn't the big issue for a lot of people. It's the skill that is needed to build it. If you can't build it it will cost as mulch as a restored original.
