I'm 49, been riding brakes 45½ years, if it ain't broke, DON'T FIX IT! And i still do ride, got a 2023 Darkwave, 2022 Kink Whip XL, & a full custom 2020 Sunday EX, no old school carpet queens in my house! 😆 I ride about 60psi, & the best brake combo is TSC Sano V2 brake, & Colony Bretheren Lever, with Odyssey clear pads, & a JagWire linear cable

I started riding freestyle before the Potts bolt when we all still rode normal MX1000 front brakes and threaded Skyway pegs. Went brakeless in 2001.

Front has its benefits for fun but ao does rear. Sometimes when in doubt add both till you decide.

I always thought it was my old homie Darin Read who started it for the same reasons 😂. He always broke his brakes and sucked at making repairs to his bikes, so it was just easier for him to say the hell with them.

Just hook up that little kid you see either with some clapped out shity bike or the kid that is at the park wishin to God he had a bike. If you do that Alf it will most likely make your week or even month home.
