Cláudio Ibrahim Vaz Leal, born 4 April 1964 in Bagé (Brazil). 97 games and 11 goals in Serie A, playing as left back with Brescia and Genoa. Branco was a renowned free kick specialist (as was his international successor, Roberto Carlos).
Branco appeared 72 times for Brazil, between April 1985 and February 1995, and scored 9 goals. He won 1994 FIFA World Cup, he played in a total of 12 matches in 3 World Cup tournaments (also 1986 and 1990) and he also won 1989 Copa América.
