BRAND NEW 🇮🇪 Irish Air Corps CASA CN295M Visits RAF Northolt for the FIRST Time

Seen in this video, the Irish Air Corps' first brand new CASA CN295M, serial 285 is seen during a route proving/training flight to RAF Northolt (NHT/EGWU). Also seen are a couple of Gama Aviation's Northolt based Islander survey fleet.
Sorry about the wind noise, it was a windy day!

Irish Air Corps have received 2 of these maritime patrol aircraft. A third one due for delivery 2026 is a utility / transport version of the CASA 295. They replace the CASA 235's in service since 1993

IRL probably needs about 50 of these units considering the size of the area they need to cover.

The planes are called CN-235 and C-295. The N referred to Nurtanio, an Indonesian aircraft builder who collaborated on the design of the CN-235... but who has nothing to do with the design of the C-295.

Worked with both Irish Airforce casa,s when they used Luton for training or medivac flights . Air crew were excellent to work with . Glad the casa,s are is still in the IAC

I doubt (and hope) the UK would ever become so inhospitable to Irish nationals that the Irish government saw fit to evacuate Irish citizens from the UK.

Just curious why am Irish aer corps aircraft at a British airfield?. Is there something that we need to know?

The Irish health service makes use of British specialist hospitals as paying to use them is cheaper than building them for Ireland’s smaller population. This brand new aircraft was visiting in order to train crews who will be flying these medical flights on the new aircraft.

Señores este avion es 100X100 español de la aeronautica CASA hoy airbus es el mejor avion de su categoria es muy buen, es fuable, es economico, es esconomico de mantener no necesita mucha pista oara desoegar ouede aterrizar y despegar en tierra en resumen? Es el mejor avion de su categoria wue se puede comprar y encuanto a irlanda me alegro que tenga esta maravilla de avion y que comore mas no se arepentiran nunca 👍🤗
