Nice truck. I listened to the gear grinds making me lean to automatics. My three KWs pulled belly bumps and all were 4x5 or 4x4 transmissions with 8V71 power. Very few could shift them. My Mack 10 yards were 6 speeds 300 Mack engines. My company got purchased. Today I am in awe of the new trucks and their fancy options, same with CAT equipment very few open ROPS anymore. It's a new world.
NIce truck for sure. The 880 is def a nice cab. The extra space is good for the normal fat guy trucker. The way you see out the 880 is nice good for backing up and such. I agree with the cummins heard lots of people having issues with the paccar motors.
Beautiful truck. Is it the efficiency or performance series X15? The performance has been shown to be much more reliable as well as the newer DPF setup. As it’s a dump truck that will idle quite a bit, regularly clean the emission related sensors and components (delta P, MAP, EGR) and she will treat you great. Also, since I didn’t see under the hood, I hope you have the Davco fuel/water separator over the paccar. The paccar is having issues with clogging filters way too early. They said they’re working on it. If you do have the paccar setup, their is a different micron filter that most dealers should know about that you can use. Best of luck
That's the perfect set up for the guy who needs to drag equipment around and haul his own material. Nice truck haven't driven an 880 yet but they look nice. What's that thing turn like the older KW weren't too bad. Is that tailgate power by air to lift it? It must have a separate switch for the locks so you can still spread stone right? Miss that old tri axle I used to drive. If you can't scale 20t here in Ohio you don't make as much money and people won't use you unless they're smaller. BTW nice job on the video!
Just found your channel.. 1st video I watched .. Beautiful truck man !! Going to try and get caught up on your videos .. Subscribed keep up the good work !!
Same here, nice looking truck and what is going on with the air having to build up? Did someone drain the air tanks or does the truck have a air leak? What kind of issues with the Paccar did the other guy have? I've been driving Paccar MX engine in 3 different trucks since 2014 and I've had pretty good luck with them. Software updates and a crankcase ventilation module replaced on the trucks from 2014 and 2016. Try not to idle too much, not good for the emissions system. The Cummins has the power, but it is heavier than the Paccar and I'm about tonnage so the weight savings is what works for me.
Dude ripped ass in brand new truck lol smfh. Brand new truck dealer shoulda filled it. I always wanted to be a dump truck driver lol. I wonder if its 90k cost?
