Started on this bike. Bone stock for almost 4 years. Over 11k miles. This engine is hard to beat, super full of life, and faster than 98% of cars off the line. Can't beat it considering it's an eye catcher too. Held its resell value horrendously well - huge bonus for your future self.
Thats the one thing I knew was gonna happen with my bike. They even have, "doesn't include $899 dealer prep in MSRP" just so no one freaks out when they get the bike.
I am the same height and weight as you. I am weight list for a white one. The dealer was pushing me to do a 650 instead. My deposit is transferable. This is also my 1st bike too. Any thoughts on getting 650 instead? Dealer says for my height and weight 650 is better and that I will get bored soon. Thoughts?
Its really personal preference. You get more power with the 650 and the 400s can't keep up with them. On the other hand you're able to utilize every bit of the 400 has to its full potential to go fast, and the 400 loves high rpms. I don't regret getting my 400 and I don't think I would've purchased the 650 instead honestly. The 400 is a good beginner bike and I'd rather start with something a bit slower to having snappy throttle response. (Also it depends on if you have the extra bit of money for the 650.) The 400 has no issue getting up and going with our weight/height, (my 0-60 was 4.4 seconds) but again its up to you if you wan't that extra power in the bike to start with. Either bikes are a good start and I recommend either of them to start with , ride safe and enjoy whichever bike you get my friend.
In india it cost around 7100 USD (5 LAKH SEVENTY THOUSAND RUPEES) and it's a dream bike for many bike enthusiasts 😊. Bike is absolutely gorgeous and i don't why kawasaki gives LED indicators 🤔. We are living in 2022 and even cheaper bikes have fully led setups. Company should think about this. Congratulations 🎉 brother u hv a great choice. Ride safely and always thanks to your parents and god for every good things happening in your life ✌️🤗🤗🤗
Last Wednesday, I got the white ninja 400 with 2 miles on the clock, it’s perfect, all I need, it can get me on the highway just fine, I’m 5’6 around 175. An absolute eye catcher, been told she looks amazing. Gonna keep it long term
Congrats man- You sound grounded, so I think you're gonna do well......Real nice bike too.....Kawasaki is very dependable (i've had quite a few).....enjoy the experience of learning, and see if you can extend that learning time (as long as possible). You won't regret it. As they say, it's more fun to ride a slower bike fast, and be able to enjoy it fully. Take your time, man. The bigger bikes will still be around when you're ready. Cheers!
Thanks alot. I've been taking the process slow, (way more enjoyable that way imo.) I love the bike so far and im enjoying it for all it has. Ride safe out there.
I was so damn excited when I got it home. At the same time I was being so damn careful riding around, being that its my first bike and all lol. Ride safe my friend!
So what did you need to buy this out the door? like can you get this without a bike license and how much insurance will cost brother? I live in New York City And I really want to get this bike this upcoming summer .
To buy this it costed around $7,300 after all expenses, including tax. It could be more or less for you. You can get the bike or most bikes without a license, just make sure you have a permit/license when you hit the road, so you're all "legal begal." Insurance will depend on the state you live in, how old you are, driving record, bike engine size, etc. You can get quotes early if you put in information from the bike and yourself to see what the cost might be, I recommend Progressive but you can go with whichever insurance provider. If you end up going with the bike, enjoy! It's a sweet ride. Ride Safe.
@@DaggRevs Thank you boss and yes I do have Honda accord 2019 car. I just wanna add this green sexy ass bike next to it. Im with Progressive for over 3 yrs so hopefully my bike insurance won't be more than $200 or hope it will be less than $150. but thanks
@samid islam For sure, the insurance should be much less than $150. Currently, I go with Progressive and I'm only paying $70 per month here in Minnesota
So you said 31 inches seat height. How does it sit down with a short light guy like me. Im 5'6 160 lbs. Inseam around 28 inches at the most. Will it sit down for me??????
@@DaggRevs Im still looking at videos. I found one problem with it. The speed limit in Nebraska in most parts of the state is 75. The video Im watching said 60- 70 then you get vibration or talk back. The interstate is 75 .
@@robertmason7553 It's definitely buzzier in the 60-70mph rang. Wearing gloves will help but after 30 minutes of highway driving going 75-80mph my hands start to get that tingling feeling, (with gauntlets on)
It was the other way around for me at first, wanted the white and ended up going with the krt green lol. The guy at the dealership said I was the first one in my state, MN, to have the krt color so that was neat. Ride safe and enjoy the bike!
Got my 2023 ninja 400 blue and gold color scheme with about 3 maybe 4 days left in the season to ride before I had to winterize it . I did manage to get 327 miles on it . Only thing I've done to mine so far was a light smoke touring windshield which I ordered prior to getting bike . I traded in my 2022 cb300r blue and gold scheme. Loved the bike but I needed a little more hp for my size. Next season I'll do the fender eliminator , and get the bracket for exhaust so I can remove rear pegs and brackets etc. and possibly a tank bag will see with what the future economy brings .
Just did my first oil change, cleaned and lubed the chain. I've never pushed mine to 10,000 rpm, but now i will and see what the bike it's really like.
Take it nice and slow is all I have to say. Practice low speed riding and maneuvers in the parking lot closest to you for a bit till you feel comfortable enough. Enjoy the bike! Ride safe.
I want another Ninja 400. I upgraded to a 2022 GSXR600. Awesome bike, but I want a daily that’s good on gas. I’d probably get the 400 unrestricted if I get another one.
I currently have 2 Ninja 400s, both picked up with fairing damage that I’m fixing up. The difference I have found so far between a 22 and 23 is the key is now a square side more like a car key, the exhaust at the front is different design but has the same design at the back going into the muffler. I swapped the Two Brothers exhaust to the newer bike so no change there and the location for the exhaust o2 is in a different location. Other than that, everything other than colours is the same. Kawasaki lists a slightly lower torque figure but when it comes to factory power level claims, they are never right. Oh, Kawasaki get your part’s pricing to a more realistic level, it costs 3 times more to repair a Kawasaki Ninja 400 compared to a Yamaha R3 with exactly the same type of damage. A nose fairing is $700 Australian, a Yamaha is under $200. Shameful
The stock exhaust sounds awesome at 8000RPM and above. Green looks awesome Go for the Kawasaki Ergo(tall) seat I did Cost a bit but so much more comfortable . ENJOY.
It's more upright than a race bike for sure. Handle bars are above the gas tank. I've been on a 636, and the difference in seating position and handle bar height is crazy. You're hunched far down on the 636 while ninja 400s, 600s, 1000sx are way wayyy more upright.
WOOOO!! Congratulations, I am planning on getting a KRT for myself but its out of stock everywhere in my area (CA). Also, I've heard the marksups are crazy. Would you be comfortable revealing the ballpark final price I should expect? Congrats again, ride safe and have fun.
For sure. So I was expecting some mark ups on the bike and the dealers website I was on clearly stated that there was a $900 dealer prep fee. Now its outrageous that they can charge that much for the "dealer prep" but its how they profit. If you want you can try and talk them down a bit but it will be hard considering its a brand new bike with fewer bikes to sell... After all fee's and taxes it was around $7,200 where I'm at, "tax will be calculated differently in other states" so it could be higher or lower for you. Roughly $1,400 more then MSRP. So be prepared for that aspect. Ride safe my friend.
My son just bought one. The first place said $7400 but the next said $6700. I thought it was a crazy difference but then thought about it and the lower price came from a town with a military base. They can make good profit selling for less but moving more out the door. At least that's what I'm guessing. So try that angle.
I bought mine 2 weeks ago in the UK, dealership says the only thing different is a charcoal filter, power stays the same, I've had 110 on the clock was still pulling so another 10mph to come with a longer road
@@TheEddieoliver It does say on online they made the 2023 engine euro 5 compliant and there was a slight drop in Nm but HP stayed the same. Personally I'm glad I got one of the last 2022 KRT's as the old saying goes "if it ain't broke, dont fix it"
Thats too bad. However I do know that feeling pretty well, considering it rains every other day here lol. Can't ride for too much longer sadly, winter is slowly creeping up. Enjoy the first few rides, and ride safe!
hey, congrats on your first bike. Sexy it is. I got mine 2 weeks back and i am loving it. However, do you feel the back seat a bit loose after it is removed for the first time, like it makes sound while going over potholes ?
I have noticed the seat doesn't sit all the way down, but I haven't had a problem with going over bumps/potholes yet. When I was lifting the seat up for the first time it still had that little bit of wiggle room that it has now. Edit: I did try and pull up and down on the bike seat, I'll post a youtube short to show what it sounds like
If I’m not mistaken the engines have been tuned differently to the previous 400, 2023 have been changed to meet emissions in the EU resulting in a lower torque output. Correct me if I’m wrong I have a 21 krt and love these bikes will be a 636 next
Got this same one a week ago and first thing i changed was the muffler. Akrapovic slip on muffler make the ride much smoother and powerful plus the sound! Stock is straight 💩
The Cbr500r is a fantastic bike and I was considering it at first. Decided with going cheaper and getting the ninja 400. Both are great bikes/first bikes.👍
I am 6'0 And with the seat height being only 30.9 I'm sure you would be able to reach just fine. Before anything definitely try going to a dealership and try sitting on the bike to see how it feels. For reference ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-THZmR69ZrKM.html This video is a sizing chart for the ninja 400. Hope this helped. Ride safe.
I was in a state of disbelief as well when I brought my first bike home old fzr600 I was so stocked that's cool man. Remember starting to ride motorcycle is like being a baby bird you learn how to fly or you die bro lol be safe
@@Mr_scottie The Ninja 500 looks interesting. 3 different versions, the Base 500, The KRT, And the SE version. I definitely would find a used Ninja 400 IF possible. If not, then I would go with the 500 for sure. I believe the SE has a tft display and the base has model has an analog screen just like the Ninja 400 has
@@_code_green_3859 Since posting the video(s) I haven't been able to ride all that much due to the weather. But the times Im able to ride, (mid november) I enjoy every bit of the bike. I did my oil change at 500 miles and used an ester based synthetic blend. Bike is running perfect, no issues or conplaints from me yet. (BTW, that total price otd will be dependent on where you're buying the bike) might be more or less depending on where you are. Personally I would have bought the bike out right, but it isn't too expensive with the loan option, depending on the down payment you decide to put. Enjoy the bike if you do end up getting it, and good luck. Ride safe
If I had my choice I'd get the KRT colors again or their Diablo Black colorway for the 636. Sleek look. The ZX-6R might be my next bike after having this one for a few years.
@@DaggRevs I sold my 400 and went in to buy a 2022 ZX-6R and they had none in stock in a 150 mile radius of where I live. I ended up buying a used 2006 Zx-10r with low miles for the same price I sold the 400 for. I'm happy I saved a ton of money and the 1000 is an excellent bike
@@DaggRevs I went to Kawasaki's demo day and drove a bunch of bikes. The 400 is very comfortable. I went with the 650 so I can grow into it. Ride safe and Congrats again.
After owning it for awhile do you feel like it has enough power? I am considering the ninja 400 or the ninja 650 as my first bike and I love the 400, I just don't wanna get bored of it. What are your thoughts?
I think its definitely enough power to begin with. The trend though, (from what ive seen) is alot of people switching to the 650 after just a year of owning the 400. Nothing wrong with that. If you do want that extra power and hp the 650 is the one to go with. Me personally I think the 400 has enough power. If you want to maximize and use all the power the 400 has, you can do that. I believe taking the learning process slow on a 400cc bike and mastering low speed riding + using all that the bike has is a better way to learn. The 400 is an amazing first bike imo, and I don't regret my decision to go with this bike. Highly recommend starting with this bike, especially if you have little to no riding experience. Ride safe my friend.
@@DaggRevs thank you for the response and the input and taking the time to respond to me. I appreciate your incite, it really helped me with my decision. And thank you and you ride safe also my friend. Also I'm subscribing to your channel for future content.
I own a 2018 stroked GSXR 1K w/ 236 whp. I also own a 2022 Ninja 4-hundo. The 400 is more enjoyable to ride than any other bike I’ve owned. I think it’s funny when people say “will I get bored with it” that’s just ego crap. Truth is, YOU will never be as fast as a Ninja 400. EVER!
