Yours is the first demo of this guitar I have seen Damon. Excellent as always. It looks great---the other colours are good too. I especially like the one in Cadillac Green. It does sound good but for me the P90s on the Streamliners appeal more. Fatter and creamier.
@@badscrew4023 So have I. Personal preference isn't it. I don't like bright sounding pickups. First thing I do with any guitar is turn the tone control down. Remember the so called "woman tone?" Well, that's my sound!
Wow, just wow!!!! What an awesome guitar. Gretsch have done it again. Thanks for mentioning the pedal, I'm not to clued up on them so any info really helps Damon. That guitar in your hands could play any genre of music & sound outstanding. Great vid thank you 👍
Got one yesterday, sounded very classy indeed in the shop. Bandleader on hols this week so won't get the chance to use it 'in anger' until the weekend after next, but first impressions at home are very good - very well set up, and with Gretsch now being owned by Fender it would be nice if contemporary Fenders were put together and finished anywhere near as well as this comparatively inexpensive set-neck Gretsch. Which must cost rather more to put together properly than a bolt-on neck instrument.
This is a great new model for Gretsch. The P90s are really beefy. I’ve considered a Les Paul, but everyone and their grandma has a LP. Ultimately, I bought the G2655T P90.
Hi Damon, I've been studying guitar for a couple of years, due to your experience what model of Gretsch I could use to play the blues, I would prefer a solid body
Hi Willy. Any of the Jets will do it . The Humbucking versions area little louder and have tad more sustain that the P90's, which have a lovely midrange push to them. Best to try them if you can mate to compare.
@@damonthegnomeoftonechivers Thanks for the suggestions, I'll try them, there is a models with both P90 and Humbucker, the G2215-P90 Streamliner, could it be a good combination? I saw your demo about it
Bro i need your help im going to buy one of 2 of the guitars u have here, this gretsch or the gold gfoild tele help me decide pleaseeeee wich one un your opinion hold up better
Hi Manuel. The Gold Foil Tele is a much higher spec instrument. Solid Mahogany body and ebony board etc. But this Gretsch is very vibey and also sounds great. SO if you can afford it, go with the Tele I think.
