Wow are there 'No Limits' to the story on these two ukes?
George Formby definitely played them, we believe - and now John Croft who is a ukulele expert has told us more about why they featured in the George Formby hit movies back in the day.
Will you be bidding?
Up for sale on March 19

I’ve managed to get hold of Dallas D with the serial number D/1002, made right after Formby’s. Interesting to compare it to the prototype in this video.

Since this was filmed, John has acquired the Keech Ukulele to add to the two Gibson Ukulele Banjo's. I don't know who ended up buying the Dallas uke though.

He didn't play the Dallas D in No Limit, just the Keech model A and nice to see it's finally turned up after all these years He did play Aunty Maggie's,Swing Mama, Can't go wrong in these and last but not least She's got two of everything, all on the Dallas.

It does annoy me when people refer to him as Formby, he deserves far more reverence, either George or George Formby please
