I like the build of this tool much more than diacamping stuff. It's much more comparable to what Leatherman and Gerber does. Everything snap's into place, the pliers/scissors lock open and have the spring action when needed. This is an American quality tool!
That is a really impressive tool, I love the looks and it seems like the main tools are very functional, but if I had to nitpick I wish they had managed to squeeze in a bit holder and replaced the saw with a good file, then maybe replace the locking screwdriver with an awl/scraper combo. Still great to see more innovation in the multitool world.
As a volunteer firefighter, I would definitely consider swapping my free p4 for this in my bunker gear. I carry a dedicated tool for almost all the tasks I could use a multitool for, my multitool becomes a redundancy for all my dedicated tools. This tool crosses just about everything off the list for a first responder
@@hvacbudget8600 As promised... I'm really impressed with the quality as it was my main concern, in particular the medical shears: they may be a little short but they are fully functional, so I'll be happy to use them on the job. I like the short sheepsfoot blade, I'm not fond of wielding long pointy items around people. At the moment, I carry a Wave and a pair of shears on my belt, so this one will replace both.
Man this thing looks awesome! If only the tools weren’t so redundant it be great. Hopefully they make an updated version with drivers and maybe even a t shank holder
I would have liked to see a philips 2 driver on there, but otherwise I think this looks excellent! I’m definitely getting one! I think I’d swap out the belt cutter for the ph2 bit, because I think the shears would be way faster to use in an emergency situation than fiddling out the little belt cutter. I’ll give this a solid 9,5 out of 10. 👍👍
Nextool I like as a good knock about tool make I am not afraid to use. They make a full size non locking blade multitool. Although the blade is more than 3 inches you can easily reduce it to a nice sheep’s foot. Nextorch is related or different company? I am glad there’s growth and competition with Roxon who are doing amazing stuff. Enjoy your videos and calling attention to new tools. Thank you!
I gotta say, my most used tool on my multitool is scissors. My second most tool is the plierhead. And when I need the plierhead, I need a small long needlenose. So there is a lot I like about this tool. But it is definitely a specialized tool that is incredibly expensive. It looks incredibly well thought out and made! The cutting power of those scissors is most certainly mostly because of the micro-serrations I see. But it is likely just a well made tool too!
👍🏼I won’t be getting one but I like that thing. I like the big scissors, pliers, zip tie cutter and small blade. I think it would be cooler if the flathead & strap cutter was a flat bit driver tho. I like the finish on it too.
Just got mine. The rescue shears are very impressive, they can cut my 4mm paracord easily even at the tip. I think these shears are better than the Leatherman Raptor. If they add a glass breaker to it, I will replace my Raptor without thinking twice. Nice review hvac.👍
I thought the Roxon Flex was expensive at £87 from Aliexpress but this Nextorch pioneer is even more, at £113...🤯 I managed to buy a Leatherman Surge for only £10 more...🙄 With a 25 year warranty that doesn't require you to send it to China...
The replaceable screwdriver is replaceable because it can be removed. You do so by bringing it to a full open position and bring up the strap cutter swing it towards the top stopping at 90 degrees to the tool, while pushing the screwdriver to a right angle position. It can then be pulled out.
The man needs the shear for his sheep! Jones aside, interesting solution with the big scissors and pliers, the surface finish is great also I am a big fan of matte finishes. The symmetry and blocky aesthetic is very nice also, those pockets should have available in-lays.
Yay for the scissors (they seem to perform really well) and the pliers, mixed feelings about the length of the saw more than the knife, the handcuff cutter is just... why? It has a great all-round shear on it, why would I want to use this tool instead? to not wear down the scissors? I would assume the replacable wirecutters would cut them just fine as well no? No Phillips, nothing that can be made into a bitholder, no file, not even for nails, no metal saw/narrow file... but instead a seatbelt cutter on top of the main rescue scissors on top of the "handcuff cutter"? Not entirely sure whom this is made for, seems more like first responders (who need to cut handcuffs so often they need a dedicated tool for it?) - I think it has some really good aspects but not the right tool selection for me. ^^
@@hvacbudget8600sorry I can't comment to the video only the comments. It's a cool mt. Unique. I'm still waiting on mine. Apparently there's an optional handcuff key available. According to one of the ads I've read
So close to a perfect tool. Can’t believe they wasted the entire plier handle… would have been a great spot to add a bit driver and maybe storage for a spare bit.
Roxon has a couple of comparable models (s802 and m2 that i found readily) granted the steel is better on this one, but mostly outside mounted tools make them appear more comfortable to use
Feel like the zip tie cutter job can be done with the scissors, should’ve used that room for a larger blade and replace the small blade with a file. Also the end of the strap cutter could’ve been made into a slotted screwdriver, free up space for a Philips head.
I notice some users claiming the fit and finish is better than most other Chinese multi tools. Do you agree with this? If so, this is good news although the same probably cannot be said about the Nextorch MT10 according to some.
I would buy this tool if they removed the saw and the strap cutter and added a glass breaker. You show that the shears can cut through the strap so I would use that as a seatbelt cutter. This tool appears to lean more towards Medical based so I don't know why you would need a saw either. Then reduce the price for having less tools and you have a winner. Other than those things, I think it's a nice tool pliers are always handy, so is a knife in an emergency. Flat head screwdriver gets most screws. Safety scissors are always great to have. Overall it looks nice
With the decent quality offerings by Birbury and similar for $40 or less, I fail to see the appeal of a $100 Chinese multitool. The biggest issue for me would be long term service/repairability...at the price point I'm not willing to risk that much on a newcomer. I'd rather buy a used proven tool and a cheaper backup.
@hvacbudget8600 oh, so I thought correctly, lol! I'm civilian, but I can see it being a great tool for cops and eats! That being said I would still find use for it
@davecor2 I feel like a Phillips would still be handy for anyone no matter the job. I'm not in either profession so idk... my brother inlaw is a firefighter so I'm going to let him know about it
I have mixed feelings about this tool. I wish they used the pliers handle to store some removable tools. I kind of like the zip tie cutters here it seems to be able to cut stuff in tight places which is nice. The scissors alone seems to justify this tool I bet as a secondary tool with a crunch or grappler or dual force this tool might do marvels here. However I hardly see this as a main tool except for certain people. I like to see this as an inspiration for other multitools as well.
@@dotintegral I have read that Nextool is the tool division of Nextorch. I just labeled this as Nextorch because that is how it is marketed at this time.
This is a medics dream, I’ve been waiting on these to release since last blade show and holy crap. Definitely will be trying out soon, might even replace my raptors and wave kit.
I think I'd get this not to replace my trusted wave but for a backup emergency car tool. You could use it for a medical bag as well with those shears. I really like this tool!
@hvacbudget8600 I hear ya I noticed they have a black version. I can't find where to buy it, but I see the photos of it online. It looks nice.Hopefully it's not painted Cheers
