Brand New Project Source Pro Flush Round Toilet In Men’s Room At The Exchange Bar & Restaurant

This toilet is located in the men’s room at the Exchange Bar & Restaurant in Rockaway, NJ. It has Fluidmaster tank parts along with a Mansfield style flush handle. It has powerful flush and excellent bowl rinse. Is great as this toilet is, it sadly replaced the 1973 American Standard Cadet that was previously here. I was originally going to do the toilet replacement and keep the Cadet , but a plumber did it because the cadet had to be pulled since someone apparently flashed sunglasses down it, causing them to get caught in the trap way. The Cadet had also gotten plugged with an excessive amount of toilet paper and massively overflowed, making a huge mess. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get the old toilet, but I’m more than happy with the replacement that I recommended.

Cadet's cavern trapway does have issues though, while it can tend to flush pencil and other larger items it will get stuck.. My 62 has a flushing issue too, it sometimes does not flush everything in its flushing cycle like sometimes it leaves some poop behind and some pee behind too. Idk if the tilt valve can fix this problem but I have a feeling that siphon jet can be filled with minerals.

@@chuckiegarcia5095 I agree. Whoever dropped their sunglasses in the toilet could have used the toilet brush sitting right next to the toilet to fish them out. The Cadet was way better than the Gerber that it replaced. The Gerber was regularly clogging and massively overflowing.

@@chuckiegarcia5095 It was a 1989 Gerber Mt. Vernon. I replaced it with the Cadet in 2019 because not only was the Gerber loose on the floor due to a damaged closet flange, the tank on it was also cracked and leaking. It was an emergency replacement situation, and the 1973 American Standard Cadet was the only toilet that I had on hand as a suitable replacement. The Cadet was recently replaced with the Project Source Pro Flush.

It's rare findin round bowl tank toilets with commercial toilet seats these days . I know most of the round bowl toilets I see get installed in public bathrooms thee days tend to use the plastic toilet seat that comes in the box with the toilet . I know alot of tank toilets that come from stores use the plastic toilet seats that come in the box . I do remember alot of the round bowl vintage tank toilets that I saw years ago had commericial toilet seats . But yeah , I hope to find more round bowl tank toilets with commercial toilet seats . I love the black toilet seat on this toilet . I miss the Cadet that used to be here . It's stupid that someone would flush sunglasses down the Cadet .

@@toilets11 commercial seats for round bowl toilets are still available and can be bought on Amazon or eBay or ordered from Bemis. See that came with this toilet was cheap and flimsy, and it would not have survived for very long. In fact, it broke when I was taking it off to replace it with the commercial seat that’s on it now. To answer your question, yes, there was a 1989 Gerber MtVernon in this restroom that got replaced with the cadet because it was the only toilet that I had on hand to replace it with. The Gerber had a cracked and leaking tank, which was why it was replaced.

@@MrBrombomb oh. I do remember one of the office buildings that my dad worked at had round bowl toilets and they had commercial toilet seats that fit the toilets. But I do remember in 2006 they replaced one of the toilet seats with an elongated commercial toilet seat and it didn't fit the toilet. I think they did that because home Depot and Lowe's only sell elongated commercial toilet seats and the only available round toilet seats at home Depot and Lowe's are residential and I think my dad's work wanted the office to have commercial toilet seats. It probably would've costed alot for them to get a commercial toilet seat that would've fit the round bowl toilet, so that's why they probably got an elongated commercial toilet seat. But yeah, that toilet seat on the project source toilet is very cool.
