@@LondonEmergency999 you think buying 8 single lights instead of 1 lightbar would make such a big difference on a brand-new apparatus worth several 100k?

Rumbler sirens are a delusion of government. They have the same decibel level as conventional sirens but operate at a lower frequency. They are harder for drivers to hear but do not reduce urban noise levels...

Hi There.. just thought to point out the fact that Rumbler Sirens DO in fact make a significant difference in helping emergency vehicles get through traffic much quicker, as whilst they may not be louder than the other sirens on the vehicle, they do however produce a low frequency humming which creates a vibration - alerting motorists that an emergency vehicle in near, even if they are unable to hear it. Thus as a consequence making it easier to notice and therefore move out of the way of an approaching emergency vehicle (it is often described as a siren you can feel) Studies in the past and through to today have concluded the same - that these sirens are VERY effective at helping emergency services clear through traffic, especially in large urban areas were a traditional siren may not be heard as well due to the level of background noise in a city. You have got to think that if this were not the case then why would cities and governments by them - as they are very costly. The reason being is because they are very effective and do help emergency vehicles clear traffic and get to incidents faster which is critical when every second counts. There is a vast array of cities (mainly in the US but also overseas) that use these sirens - most notably New York (where almost every emergency vehicle has them installed) I implore you to do your own research on this topic - as I have - and I guarantee you will find out the significant effectiveness of these sirens and how they are NOT just a 'delusion of government' - RU-vid is a great place to look for this. Have a great day.

@@The_Irsk04 while what you are saying may be true, I was in NYC when they passed the law about the rumblers, and it was totally about noise levels, so it was in fact a delusion of government. And you know as well as I do that governments make terrible decisions every day of the week...
@The_Irsk04
@The_Irsk04 3 месяца назад
@@jmWhyMe I think you may misunderstood something. Rumbler sirens are NOT supposed to be loud, but instead produce a low frequency vibration that drivers 'feel'. This is so that IF drivers are unable to hear the conventional sirens (due to other loud city noise), they will be able to feel them through the Rumbler. Whilst I know that governments make bad decisions (believe me living in the UK I know!) - This decision made by NY - and now other governments around the world is definitely not a bad one. Just to reaffirm - Rumblers are not meant to be loud, but are meant to be felt by drivers and passers by - thus making it easier for them to be recognised by motorists and therefore move out of the way, as a consequence making it easier for emergency vehicles to get to their scene faster.☺

@@The_Irsk04 I'm just telling you what the logic and reasoning that NYC used when they implemented them. Perhaps the ones you have work differently as well...
