Remember this car wash everyone? This is where that refurbished SoftGloss XS 2 was! It was one of my childhood car washes as I remember I went through it all the time when I was little.
Sadly, the machine suffered from a MAJOR breakdown in August of 2018. The machine was about to do its usual first FoamBrite wash pass to a customer when all of a sudden, the wash stopped working! The customer who was using it got mad and drove out to get a refund. We later had to go to the SoftGloss MAXX in Lowell to get our car clean.
The wash sat broken for a few weeks until it was ripped out! I thought they would demolish the car wash like the one in Exeter NH, but I was wrong! The wash was eventually replaced with Massachusetts’s (possibly New England’s) very FIRST SoftGloss MAXX 5! I was very surprised to see this, as Alltown was starting to switch to PDQ systems.
