15 hours and the machine won't shift into reverse. Not sure why it suddenly stopped shifting. I made some adjustments and got the shifting working again.
I had the opposite problem where I was having difficulty getting it to shift smoothly into low without grinding or clunking. I adjusted the rod attached to the shift lever behind the firewall. Not easy to access, but possible. Easy way to loosen the locknuts is to use 14m crows foot with extension on your ratchet. The manual says they are both left hand thread nuts but untrue. The front one is RH thread and the rear one (closest to firewall) is LH thread. Although to loosen looking down the axis of the rod (front to rear), you turn both nuts clockwise to loosen and counterclockwise to tighten. In my case, after loosening the nuts, I rotated the rod one full rotation (360 degrees) counterclockwise. For now, seems to be working much better getting into low gear without clunking or grinding.
Thanks for sharing. We just recieved one of these in our TSC store yesterday. When we took it off the pallet it wouldn't go into reverse either. It seems like it is not adjusted right at the factory.
What did you need to do to get it adjusted? Just at the transmission under the seat, or did you need to adjust it at all the spots to try to get the 4 locations aligned correctly?
Mine did the same thing. It's the two half moon gears in the case were the lever is attached to. 4 bolts and you will see the teeth have rotted off. Should be a Hisun utv part.
When it won’t go into reverse try driving it forward a little bit to move the gears. When you had the linkage unhooked and with your hand you couldn’t get it in to reverse I bet the gears weren’t lined up properly at that point adjusting the cable isn’t going to help.Toward the end I believe you had that arm on the transmission a little to much clockwise ( away from cable point of entry)I had problems with my shifting too.I had to make modification to the linkage.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fV7WK_is5Fw.html
Hrmm.... This one has never required such. Is there suppose to be a safety interlock? I don't see an interconnect between the shifter and the brake. Maybe that fell/broke off and that's what changed?
@@MikeCreuzer i have the same one built in 2018 it has to be started in neutral and to shift out of neutral and into H L or R you have to have your foot on the brake not sure what year yours is but it looks just like mine.
@@thumboutdoors8277 mine was about a month old when the shifter shifted. Likely broke the safety interconnect. That's probably what changed. Thanks for the tip on what to look for.
thanks much bud i just got a 2022 750 hisun sector .. any fixes i do i will post so you can see. Again Thanks a Bunch. as i had to adjust mine within the first week as well..
Call Coleman. Service Center, ask them for the clip that needs to be welded, to fix shifter issues, not going into gear, I work for a service center, we just did it last week, tested it for a few days seems to have worked, no complaints from customer ☺️
It's holding together thus far otherwise. A skid panel broke on the same side as the cable, so maybe somebody hit something hard enough to mess with the cable or something. I haven't had to spend money to fix anything yet, so I am still happy with the machine.
I haven't had a dead battery on mine yet. It is just a matter of time - the kids love flipping all the switches, one of these days I will leave the key in it and it will get turned on but not started and drain the battery.
