Now, this was a wash that I wasn’t planning on revisiting again, I I just did a iPhone 14 Pro MAX retake on it. But after hearing that a major change happened to the touch free automatic, I knew I had to come back.
As you all know, Amherst street in Nashua has a TON of car washes. This includes Camps Gentle Touch Car Wash (Hanna Sherman/Sonny’s tunnel), a Mobil Alltown Station (PDQ ProTouch Tandem) Sunoco Gas Station (possibly defunct vintage Sonny’s tunnel), this location, the Charron Ave site, (Oasis Typhoon), Washville (MacNeil Tunnel) and finally, a Golden Nozzle location, which is right across from Washville. (yet another Sonny’s tunnel.)
Anyways, the location here is the more popular Camps self service location, as this one also has a laundromat attached to it. Alongside it are multiple self service bays and a single touch free automatic. It previously held a older Oasis Typhoon, with the tidal wave graphics and the old signage. (The one with the stop hand signal). Like most other Typhoons, it also had ProtoVest In-Bay RM dryers.
Then, in mid-2017 I believe, the oscillating top nozzle washer was replaced with the stationary turbo nozzles, and some of the wash arms on the side got the same thing. The front and back gantries were later modified with new wash arms and gantry covers. At first, I thought they got a all new Oasis system, but they just modified it.
But thanks to one of my viewers, I found out that Camps just replaced the Typhoon with a RAZOR. At first, I thought they mistook the RAZOR at the Alltown on Hollis street, but nope, the typhoon was ripped out and a RAZOR was in its place! I’m wondering if they will replace the Typhoon on Charron Ave now…
They thankfully kept the ProtoVest In-Bay RM Dryers here, but they changed the bags on them. They were originally red, but they changed them to blue, to match their color scheme. And if you are wondering why they are quiet, it’s because they have the silencer package on them. I also forgot to mention that they also kept the old undercarriage blaster here, so it goes on when the Presoak is soaking.

Comments: this wash did a great job! It got all the bugs and dirt off of our car. While the typhoon was much faster, this wash was much thorough which is why it removed the bugs, which most touch free washes can’t do! I was very impressed with this one
