On the one hand, I have always considered the Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 to be very organistic, but on the other hand, because of its dense ten-part texture, I thought it could not be transcribed. If you have mastered the organ and especially the pedal, it is obviously possible after all. I'm an experienced organist myself, but even I get dizzy. Marvellous!
Amazing. This guy has crazy good pedal playing skills. I know first hand how difficult it is to maintain consistent articulation throughout a piece. He does it brilliantly...and from memory!
Mind-blowing! I wish you could go back in time and sneak up on Bach and play that on his instrument just as he was leaving for the day. He would surely melt, demand to know who you were, where you came from, put you to work immediately and pay you in firewood.
Your transcription of the Brandenburg Concerto No 3 worked really well on the organ. I much appreciated your use of various stops to highlight the various themes and you maintained the allegro con spirito throughout. That you can play this from memory shows the depth of your knowledge and your love for both Bach and the organ. Thank you, very much, for a really outstanding performance, and I look forward to hearing more from you soon.
Spectacular! His foot work looks almost disembodied and operating separately from his body. Thoroughly enjoyable, and Saved, to be viewed many more times.
@@volkerschediwie6500 This is recorded in 'Music in the Castle of Heaven by John Elliot Gardiner' as being one of J.S. Bach's own comments in alignment with S. D. G.” Soli Deo Gloria-“To God alone, the glory” which appears on many of his manuscripts.
There may not be no god or no heaven, but if there were I can assure you that Mr. Bach would be the first one at that pearly gate welcoming party to shake this youngster's talented hands! ;)
Thank you for the beautiful video! We were searching for the right recessional music for the first graduation ceremony for our classical Christian school when we saw this video. We found some comparable sheet music and had our organist use it. It was perfect! Many thanks!
Masterful! Thank for the PIP of pedal work. Have you tried playing pedals in penny loafers? Versatile. (Paul Jacobs might frown on different organ shoes, but could try when on your own!)
The tempo, I find, is a bit lagged. However, I would rather hear well placed key geography than a tempo that is too fast and messy for the artist. So, the decision is good. The pedal work is out of this world. Amazing. This beautiful young man has worked very very hard. I'm so impressed.
