This is the first song in a long time that has immediately brought me to tears. Such vulnerability and heartache in her vocal. Brandi Carlile is the artist of a lifetime.

I'm always amazed by the fact that Elisabeth Moss holds the universe in her eyes...

This video just played on CMT, and I don’t know if anyone will understand how much that means to me. I’m from a small town and I’m very country, and sometimes it feels hard to be country and gay at the same time, almost as if there’s two different parts of me. It’s been hard to bridge that gap in me, and seeing a lesbian couple on CMT really just made my whole day. ❤️

I am watching Brandi Carlile for the first time this Sunday morning on Austin City Limits. I am truly not familiar with her music. As a music aficionado and former radio disc jockey, I would like to make a comment. This woman is a total powerhouse of a musician. She's a true musician in the sense of the craft as she writes songs, beautiful songs indeed. She's Joni Mitchell, Stephen Stills, Judy Collins, Jim Croce, Harry Chapin, Don McLean style of songwriter I called them intellectual songwriters. She is really exceptional. Thank you for reading.

I heard this song for the first time this past weekend when Brandi played it at Bonnaroo. I was only tangentially familiar with Brandi and her music but her set completely blew me away and almost stole the weekend. This song in particular stopped me in my tracks and brought me to open tears in the beautiful Tennessee sunshine. What music is all about. Thank you!!!!!

OMG, my stomach is in knots- what an incredibly moving and stunningly beautiful video. I have been in that moment with my wife and its wonderful to see such real portrayals of queer relationships/marriages, which can sometimes be more difficult to navigate living in a mostly hetero world. Where to start.... the song... the video.... ugh, it's so pure and honest. When people say "poetry in motion", that is this video. People sing about relationships in abundance, but few capture the essence and feelings quite like this song. And the way the actresses portrayed it couldn't have been done better. Just perfection. I couldn't stop the tears.

So much greatness here. The song is one of Brandi's best. She has a great way of storytelling with so much power, emotion, and love. Love and relationships are sometimes destroyed over short term emotions and it is important to reflect and understand how important they are before we walk away and don't return over pride. Nice to see normal people portrayed in the video over some supermodel couple. Thank you, Brandi, for the great singing and songwriting for more than 10 years.
