I have never watched a Yoyoka video with other musicians and not been amazed at the other musicians. I love how it’s always about the music. The singer here moved me to the verge of tears and I wasn’t even paying attention to the words.
Incredible, what a beautiful song I have tears in my eye. Wakasa is really an extraordinary singer and Yoyoka is equal to herself, precise but gently with aplomb. In short, it's Yoyoka.
I had never heard this song until the concert, goosebump moments. wakasa was excellent !YOYOKA in drone mode watching everyone and letting them all shine
Man!!! I got goosebumps..!! So well balanced, so well delivered! I just could tell that all the players, have a top notch ability, but none of them try to be stand out, it's all about how to tell the story of the song beautifully. Really a mature band.. 👍👍👍 Been following Yoyoka from early days, and being always playing in a band rather just covering a song alone, it really matures her.
Yaaaaayyy Yoyoka! Yoyoka is so versatile and what an extraordinary family. Right behind the veil of modesty, restraint and reserve, they are all supernovae. Yoyoka is like the anchor. They are becoming the standard by which all others are measured. Magnificent Performance! I love every aspect. Yaaaaayyy Yoyoka! More Yoyoka, More Yoyoka, I love Yoyoka more than yesterday! ❤
☮ Great job WAKASA. The band's supportive musicianship enabled WAKASA to sing so very well. Lovely. Maybe the most beautiful song YOYOKA has performed? Great maturity from you YOYOKA. Please keep learning, honouring the music, and your fellow musicians. Best Wishes, All. ☮
Wow! What a set of pipes on that young lady. Sensitive and appropriate drumming from Yoyoka. I’ve always said that one of the most important skills a drummer can possess is knowing when not to play.👍🥁
You know with all these musical influences in her repertoire, rock, pop, funk, blues, country, soul, jazz, you name it, the next original song Yoyoka comes up with is going to be something else.
I don't know what to say, seeing and hearing "the joke" song that you perform and sing because it's so beautiful to hear.. You are great and successful always.. 👍👍❤️ Thanks..🙏
Really nice job on this song Yoyoka. It is so hard when we are young musicians to leave space alone and yet you did just that. Your timing, feel and choice of minimal fills were perfect for this song. Really mature playing for such a young lady! Cheers Peter St. John Fresno, CA
Yoyoka, Shohei Ohtani, Naoya Inoue, and others, I can't translate their Kanji characters, are so good at what they do. Japan should be very proud. I am honored to watch all of them perform. What a great band in this concert. I envy everyone in the audience. Yoyoka is inspiring and has that charisma thing going for her. Beautiful stuff from Japan. Arigato Nippon.
I am Japanese. There are still people that Japan can be proud of in the world. The violinist, Himari Yoshimura. She is still in elementary school, but she has won first prizes in all kinds of competitions overseas and is admired by top musicians. She has her own channel. Please search and watch it.
beautiful! :) wonderful vocals, all the instruments sound fantastic and I'm a huge fan of Madoooon on the bass! I love her tone and power. she really has a special presence. Bravo all. 🌸🌸⛩⛩🌸🌸
Yoyoka's ghost rolls are presented like a whisper, sung when words would do no justice. I'll never master this skill, and that's okay so long as I can appreciate that this skill can be realized by others. Peace out Milady.
I found that I miss a lot of thumbs-up because I'm binge watching everything with her name on it. Maybe Yoyoka should add a comment to remember to hit the button.
**!!..WELL DONE YOU, "TEAM YOYOKA!!"** Hi Yoyo!! I don't want to sound foolish, here,** **HOWEVER...** Now, the drum mix seems to be placed in the overall mix at its "premium!!" No "Fluff," w/no "crazy" reverb effects on top of the drum mix that can make the listener feel as if they are "drowning" in it!! The left side microphones (Hi hat/crash cymbals) **ARE NOW** very present in the overall mix and very nicely at that!! **ALSO......,** I, AS An audio engineer (both F.O.H. & MON. WRLD) Understand the frustration that comes with "close micing" from a proximity point of view... which causes extraneous, unwanted, ("dissonant" even,) "bleeding" or "sympathetic" sounds to "leak in!!" I don't hear a lot of that, even though I am referencing from a cellphone!! That leads me to believe that there are "audio gates" being implemented in order to maximize response, while minimizing that "extraneous" bleed!! Therefore, "gain structuring" can be maximized to the fullest, allowing for more volume when and where it is needed, yet not "peeling the heads off" the listening audience with too much volume!! It is now, A "WIN-WIN Situation" for concert goers and the band alike!! 😉..... In short, I now can hear all the drum mics, every instrument, and every word from within the "gigantic audio spectrum" (range) of the vocalist! **VERY NICE INDEED!** ANYWAY KEEP ON KEEPING ON SISTER DRUMMER!!!!!!!!!!😁 PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!🤘🏼
@@Rob-Yule( LOL...) Yeah-man!! And while it will probably never happen... I would definitely like to "geek out" w/yoyo's Father!! I, also being a professional, "gun for hire" drummer would like to bounce some ideas off both Yoyo and Aki!! Of course, I have always wondered what "gear," from "soup to nuts" has he been using with both the "family band" and Yoyo, as well as from the inception of her RU-vid channel debut/launch, as it is, I have pretty much been a "sub" and a "unknown (to either Yoyo or their family band) promoter"{☆} (in the sense that I have told soooooooo many of my dear, professional, music industry people and or friends) {☆} of her "prowess" as a drummer and overall musician {☆} (because you watch, **SHE WILL** be a very big part of the music industry in the future, due to her determination to be a very good drummer, as well as ANY OTHER INSTRUMENT she gets her hands on, and her mind wrapped around) {☆} and from around the very same time as I saw her first video... 🤔 ... 3 or 4 years or so, ago. BUT YES, long story short, I would be thrilled to hangout and perhaps even work on a project or two with her Father and/or Yoyo and her family band....., AND DEFINITELY, "GEEK OUT!!"👍😁
Rob it’s a pleasure to hear the words of a professional. Like you I have followed Yoyo from close to the beginning and have marvelled at her progression. I do hope you get the chance to meet up with them. Thank you for the great analysis and supportive comments. Pat 🏴
We utterly fail in fighting the feeling that Carlisle delivers her music in the most unpleasantly meddlesome (if not pitiable) ways, we yet managed to listen through this song only for the principle that anything Yoyoka chooses is worthy of being listened to; and hey, without Brandie her music succeeds in standing upright.
I'm sure I'll be flamed for this...I hear timing gaps between Yoyoka and the bass player, who seems locked into the keyboards. Every player here is obviously excellent. Maybe they need to play together for a while to find their common groove.
@@corenliussulla8677 I always start with the whole. If it's not gelling for me, then I break it down. As for Bonham with LZ, he was never in the role of accompanist, as this ensemble is backing the singer, so the comparison doesn't work for me, and I've seen LZ live - an entirely different band!
@@mojo65-FXDC You're spot on about Ellen and Yoyoka in that clip. Yoyoka's "home" feel certainly seems to be rock, which she kills like few others, then her moves into prog rock are great. I see a bit of a parallel with Sina, who also played rock for years, added some prog rock, but has more recently been doing arty "jazz" in school and with other, similarly-inclined players. Out of respect for Yoyoka's channel, I won't paste links to other artists' stuff, but you can find Sina, If you're not already familiar with her.
It is a true shame to see such a great talent as Yoyoka, is working with these type of bands. She’s way beyond their level. I somehow fear a bit for Yoyoka’s career. On average a drummer is actually not a big deal in the music industry. How is she going to leverage the rare talent given to her at a young age, to an adult musical career? It is puzzling me, she’s growing so fast and i fear that she might not get everything out of this amazing talent.
@@mojo65-FXDC it’s a big thing when a little girl like that has a dream and can actually play and get better and better in a relatively short period. After a while it will be a lot less interesting and she will just be another drummer. As there are millions, myself included. Even though I don’t even come close to the talent of Yoyoka. It would make me sad to see her end up in deleted youtube history. She’s like the next Stewart Copeland. But she would have to play with The Police though🤔.
