Just because you are a normal person who plays games doesn't make his opinion wrong. A lot of grown men have very real video game addictions. Yeah, these old guys talking about video games is really weird. I bet they don’t think it’s weird about TV or reading a book? You can totally just play video games for like an hour or two just like you would watching TV when you settle down tonight which people have been doing for the last least 50 years. Yeah it is true. You can play 10 hours of video games just like you can sit in front of the TV and watch sports for 10 hours and a lot of people do it during football season . It’s almost like everything within moderation 😂. Also trying to use therapist to talk about video games to prove a point is ridiculous. Colin once again and his rag on video games is wrong. I’m not married. I’m in my late 20s. I work a lot and I still get on with my friends and play an hour or two a video games a couple times a week but I guess according to Colin my friends playing a couple times a week and a couple hours a day of video games their marriages are ruined 😂😂. @brandonsitch3807
@brandonsitch3807 Месяц назад
This could (partially) be a function of how “deep ball” is defined: if you’re getting this from PFF, a deep ball is any pass that is targeted 20 yards downfield or more w/ a minimum of 50 attempts of such throws on the season to be eligible. Purdy was barely above the minimum (53 att.), which suggests he doesn’t throw deep balls very frequently. Also, 20 yards seems somewhat arbitrary. I’d be interested to see what percentage of these throws are in each of the 20-25, 25-30, &c yards downfield categories, since a 22 yard “deep ball” shouldn’t be thought equivalent to a 38 yard deep ball.

A lot of people like Tom Brady, because we saw him earn his successes. He wasn’t the full time starter at Michigan, he was a backup to a good QB in Drew Bledsoe, and he had to play well to keen his starting role when Bledsoe was healthy. He wasn’t a physical specimen that had all the natural talents. He outworked everyone. He didn’t put himself above the team. He tried to game the system to get ahead through deflating balls. This is all stuff that relates to the average fan. And he only became the bad guy through success, which is something many people would like to be able to do.

Theory - a supposition or a system of ideas intended to explain something. Kyler Murray's gaming is a stigma. "Kansas City Chiefs QB admits that in another life he'd like to be an esports video game player. He still reverts to a ritual that dates back to his middle school days: hours-long offseason video gaming sessions. Gaming has aided him in even more ways than stress relief at the pro level, helping him build chemistry and cohesion with his teammates on the Chiefs." Is there a stigma on Patrick Mahomes because of his gaming?

The gaming obsession is an opportunity some young coach is eventually going to unlock. Not by getting the QB to stop gaming, but by investing in gamifying the training of the position to the point the QB is more engaged with reality than the simulation of it. Tough job to be sure, but a 'name your price' contract opportunity for the coach that eventually figures it out. The young man is hyper focused. The organization needs to figure out a way to tap into it. Sometimes what seems like problems are actually opportunities. Feel pretty certain it won't just benefit the QB position once the system for developing that style of player is figured out. It's all manipulation and mentorship, just a matter of how's and why's. There's a mind that's clearly willing to grind. With hundreds of millions on the line there will be a teacher who adjusts his system to maximize the student. It's a revolution that's long overdue. The guy who can unlock the talent is a lot cheaper than the QB who's getting that contact no matter what. There's an inefficiency with a massive upside begging to be exploited.

We get games, get a profile going, and try to 100% games so we can pass it on to our kids and they can do it on their profiles when they're older and revisit the games mom and dad played. And because Colin's gonna say "grow up and get a job", I'd also like to say I built two businesses in the last 5 years and have a dozen employees. Obviously, any hobby when done to the point it begins to make you neglect your family or daily life it can cause issues. I woyld encourage Colin for his takes to consider his source. His source was a therapist. A therapist is only seeing people with issues dealing with something in his or her life. The therapist is only going to see people woth problems gaming, golfing, drinking, or gambling etc.
