I remember Brandon for scoring 55 points in his rookie year and his "Bucks in 6" quote but I also remember him for saying, "Lesson in Life. I will never play on a team and the dad is coaching his son. Never again!"
Out of high school Jennings was known for his vision and playmaking. When he joined the Bucks he became a scoring guard. He already said he's gonna change his game for the better of the team.
This video was published in 2013. Brandon was drafted in 2009. At just 4 years into his career, the NBA already had a top 10 career video for him. Like they predicted his career would be short or something.
he has incredible potential at the PG spot if he tempers his shot selection. thankfully, in detroit, he'll have a great cast of talent as well as shooters to open the court up for him. really, it's up to him how good he wants to be. it was refreshing to hear him acknowledge his deficiencies in his introductory press conference. he vowed to clean up his game, defer to his teammates, and "stop taking all those bad shots".
Don't bother arguing with haters, that's just what they do. Not many know he was a pass first guard before he was a Buck. So they just judge him based on his 4 years there. He was a high volume shooter there, true, but because they wanted him to be the star. They allowed him to run wild, which gave Jennings a bad reputation. Under a new coaching staff, new system, new expectations in Detroit. Plus Billups to mentor, he will grow up and elevate his game to the next level. Forget all the haters.
I been watching him since he was on the P.Miller Ballers I knew he had it then. He was a special player but the nba life is hard when u dont have that name like lebron or steph
I know he might be unconsistent on offence, but there are many players like that in the league. And he is more than just a scorer, he can dribble pass strip the ball and he is super atheletic and fast.
The NBA is just posting Top 10 Career Plays for players who are getting talked alot about at that moment. Like Smoove moving to the Pistons, Iguodala moving to Golden State, and Nate Robinson being Mr. Clutch.
Because they add Established star Josh Smith, Great Point guard Brandon Jennings, Veteran PG Chauncy Billups( 2004 MVP), Italian Superstar Luigi Datome(Italian League MVP), #8 Draft pick Kentavious Caldwell-Pope( SEC player of the year), Peyton Siva (Led Louiville NCAA Title), and Tony Mitchel an athletic Freak.. and should I mention the two growing big men, andre drummond and greg monroe..This isn't the same team as last season
BOSreesoMoney- BJ has had good passing plays but the guy that made the video selected all shots. Also he is still fairly young (23) so he has plenty of time to mature his shot selection. I see a very bright future in Detroit for Mr Brandon Jennings!
You wont see that anymore, he was on a te am that was crap offensively and tried to do it all himself, now that he is with the Pistons he has alot of options and will be able to show how good of a PG he really is
Monta Ellis (good penetrator and medium range shooter), Larry Sanders (shoots 65% in the paint), JJ Redick (great spot up shooter), Mike Dunleavy (great spot up shooter), Ersan Ilyasova (great spot up shooter). Need more?
Sad because he really was great to watch, but didn't have the cut throat mentality I suppose. Too nice, too modest. One of my favorite players of all time
As a bucks fan, I know a lot about Jennings and I know that he only made like 67% of his layups last year... He also doesn't get many turnovers because he does not pass. He just creates difficult shots which would be a good idea if he was able to make them... Brandon Knight will hopefully be a much better passer and shooter
