Love this so much!! I went to college with this guy. I didn't really know him, I think he was a senior when I was a Freshman. But I am so grateful and blessed to have gotten to see him perform at our school talent nights, and his poetry always touched my heart. I'm so so happy to see him sharing this beautiful gift God has given him with the world! Congratulations on the big win, Brandon!

No where near "exceptional" Just decent. He's the first spoken artist so people are interested in him. Otherwise he isn't great. His enunciation needs a lot of work. There are other phenomenal people on the show who deserve to win

I agree with previous reply. The golden buzzer poet has a melodic voice, but I'm a music person and had Howie not given him the buzzer, he probably wouldn't have got this far. The musicians and people who risked their lives are more deserving.

My initial assesment on Brandan Leakes's performance was, "was this entertainment" or poetry to be delivered on a different platform. Having listened again and again., the stereotypical concept of "entertainment:" was completely reassessed with the magnitude of sincerity on Brandan's life experiences. Yes, the MGM grand may not be the platform for this, but who knows, I could be wrong again. Brandan, good on you mate, as we say in Australia, you are "true blue", and "fair dinkum" You remind me of the passion of Dr. King, 28/08/63.(I have a Dream). Keep up the good work, and make the world respond to changes that you articulated so well.

When I'm feeling sad & pittying myself of what my childhood was like. Not forgiving my mother & her mother for not being there for me Instead they used me as bait. Never have I read a poem or listen to a Poet like Brandon Leake. I listen to him on here before. I have never been a fan of Poetry, because the way the sounded made not much sense to me. Forgive the ones that hurt you cleanses his soul. He did forgave his dad for all the neglect he gotten from him growing up. He speaks powerful words, all coming from his heart He gives a message to all of us. Love is everything, as long as it is true. Forgiveness cleanses you. We can learn much from this young man, if we adapt his way of thinking and feeling. Forgive and it will set you free. True love forgives everything. I know sometimes its the hardest thing to do. I been there. I felled and was betrayed by people I cared about. In my heart I forgave, but I never told them, because I have not spoken to them again since that happen. They live in another state, and I want them to stay there. Otherwise it will happen again. They will hurt me again. The were my husbands children from a perivious marriage. The blamed me for their parents divorce. But I didn't meet him till after they were divorced for 10 years. Their mother poisoned their mind with lies about me. Even after they found out that their mother had told them lies. The hatred they had for me always lingered with them. I didn't knew him till after he was divorced for 10 years. But to them I was the cause of their divorce. The day my husband died, that is when the betrayal happened. it really broke me, because I was good to them when they stayed with us on and off. His ex wife called me ones and thanked me for being good to her children.

I stumbled on his winner announcement, and i had to ask, who is this guy, and what is his talent, then boom i landed on his first audition and Hawi's golden buzzer, then one after another i watched his various AGT performances, wow!
