actually they were different characters, in next generation Brandon Lee played Johnny Caine, in legend continues Chris Potter played Peter Caine, however though would have love to see a connection between the 2 shows providing Brandon Lee had of lived, it would have been awesome if Brandon Lee had of occasionally made special appearances on Kung Fu The Legend Continues as Johnny Caine, Peter Caine discovers from his father Kwai Chang Caine that he has a long lost brother Johnny Caine, it would have been awesome to see Brandon Lee as Johnny Caine teaming with Peter Caine and Kwai Chang Caine to help take down bad guys. Brandon Lee would have indeed stole the show.
