Man, Brandon really ruined Caitlyn's life. First he breaks her arm then kills her mother.

I have a feeling this is going to be the birth of a destined rivalry. Brandon: evil Superman Caitlyn: Good Lex Luthor Assuming if she has the intellect that would match Luthor’s of course. 😅

Even though this is with kids, this is a wonderful, classic example of the domestic violence cycle, with him gaslighting her with flowers, lack of a sincere apology, showing up unwanted knowing it makes her uncomfortable/frightened. Literally the “making up” stage after actual physical abuse (breaking her arm).

Really? Flowers? Flowers for breaking her hand? That's it? A simple apology would've been nice. He didn't even say he was sorry, he just showed up with flowers, expecting her to forgive him. Brandon didn't even look remorseful. Unhinged, maybe, but not remorseful. You can tell Caitlyn is afraid of him in this scene. And the scary part is...he knew it.

Imagine in Brightburn 2 a Dark Supergirl comes to Earth to help this Dark Superman to fully take the Earth. The Dark Supergirl takes out a beta male’s loved ones so she can have the beta male all to herself like Brandon has done with Caitlyn the beta female.

Why do I the feeling that if they make a Brightburn 2 Brandon is gonna go after Caitlyn or have a duel with each other.

It would be interesting if they decide to make Bright Burn 2. In a way she can actually be Brandon’s nemesis, without the cybernetic hand. He hand is fine, it’s in a cast so it’s healing, now an exo suit that is resilient to Brandon’s power would be interesting to watch. She could be the hero to he’s villain, probably an Owl Man type of character just good. Owl Man does have a power suit that enhances he’s strength, so she can create a suit like that. She’s got the making of a tragic héroe, and it’s seems she is and will always be Brandon’s obsession and passionate “love” so he would kind of hold back from killing her instead of making her understand and having her on his side. It would be interesting

One of the reasons why this scene is so damn terrifying in my opinion is that she clearly knows that Brandon is something "supernatural" and she knows the fact that he could easily kill her there. But he chose not to since he loves her. It reminds me of the scene with Omni-Man and William from Invincible where William was nervous because he's talking with Omni-Man for the first time despite him not knowing that the hero was actually questioning him and came close to dying without even realizing it.

If they ever decide to make a Brightburn 2, they should have Brandon and Caitlyn fight each other as adults. Brandon broke her hand and killed her mom. That's enough for him to be her nemesis right there.

I really feel for that girl. There's nothing more terrifying in the real world than a stalker, so having a violent one that literally cannot be stopped and who is willing to kill anyone just for making him mad is about the worst nightmare imaginable. She couldn't escape him and can't risk angering him or making him feel rejected, so she's forced to face the fact that she might have to live the rest of her life as a hostage to a monster with a loaded gun to her head. It's hard to imagine something worse than that.

What I can’t get over is that this is the very last scene we saw of her, that was a huge disappointment to the film for me

Well he killed a lot of people in the movie except Kaitlyn maybe because she’s a kid to and that’s why he didn’t kill her

Here's my take: Brandon's foster father just had 'the talk' with Brandon and told him it was acceptable to satisfy urges once in a while. HE meant masturbation, but Brandon took it literally. Brandon showed up at Caitlyn's house because he had a crush on her. Brandon may not have known 'what' he wanted to do. Boys really don't think about that; they just do. Caitlyn freaked out because 1) Her room was on the 2nd floor and he could only get there by flying!! 2) The look of intent on Brandon's face DID seem perverted to her!
