only on the first tune so far. Tain is blowin' over the vamp at the end...Dude Kills. He has to be one of the most free drummers ever. That's his strength.
Jeffrey Alexander Yeah! This is when Joey Calderazzo first joined in place of Kenny Kirkland (rest in peace). This line up would be my MUST SEE band for the next 9 years. Incredible energy like nobody else out there. Get the DVD of this quartet's "A Love Supreme". That DVD gives you a much better representation of this amazing ensemble at the TOP TOP TOP of its game in 2003.
I just saw him live today, the pianist that was with him out played him in my parts of them playing in my opinion at the performance i seen. He was definitely still impressive.
Branford has surrounded himself with outstanding sideman. I remember the piano chair was occupied by KK and the drum seat by Tain . I will stop there. Joey wow is great.
