@@scottyc7220 I haven't visited, no. Tbh if I moved there I would probably do it without visiting. I know that sounds ridiculous but we did the same thing with Spain. The journey is so difficult with our dog that it's not really worth doing it twice. What are the worst things about living there? How about the bears?
@@BigDome1 When we moved here we drove from the UK, with 2 children, a cat and a dog. Was quite a journey. The bears aren't a problem, i have never personally seen one but they are around the village as we are surrounded by wilderness. We occasionally get warnings via text when one is seen nearby. For me the worst thing living here is the language is difficult for me, my wife is Romanian so that is a massive help. Romanian driving is poor but It's similar in Spain. The winters can be harsh with temperatures down to -20c but thats only a few nights of the winter. Summers are nice at max 30c, we don't need aircon and nights are cooler at altitude (we are at 800m)
Nice video. Brasov is a beautiful city. The gelato manufacturer is very professional. Take care of the bear. In the Romanian mountains there are several thousand bears, over 60% of the bear population of Europe. You can also meet wolves, lynxes, wild cats.

Great orchestra! You are so funny , Stew! We had black bears in our woods growing up, but they were afraid of people so we rarely saw them. Just had to be very careful when they had young cubs. I love the Gelato shop and all the raw ingredients he showed you, going to have to make some myself. I have raw Australian carob powder. Pistachio and Vanilla are super flavors!
When you say "be careful when they had young cubs" what do you mean? Are there certain times of year when you know to avoid them? Or did you see the cubs? Is it okay to walk a dog off the lead? I don't think my dog would be sensible around bears to be honest
