Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Purulia, organised a program on 17th June 2023 to commemorate the legendary literary figure, Rabindranath Tagore. The event was graced by esteemed guests, with Prof. Biswajit Ray, Department of Bengali, Visva Bharati, Shantiniketan, serving as the Guest-in-Chief, and the eminent elocutionist, Bratati Bandyopadhyay, attending as a Special Guest.
Bratati Bandyopadhyay enthralled the entire audience, consisting of students, teachers, monks, and brahmacharins, with her captivating recitation program held at the Vidyapith auditorium. As Bratati Bandyopadhyay commanded the stage, her exceptional talent and command over the art of recitation shone brightly. Every poem and verse she brought to life resonated deeply with the audience, evoking a range of emotions, from joy and laughter to introspection and introspective contemplation. Her remarkable ability to engage the audience on an intellectual and emotional level made her performance an unforgettable experience for all present.
During her two-day stay at Vidyapith, Bratati Bandyopadhyay exhibited a delightful and affectionate demeanor, leaving everyone pleased and content. She took the time to visit the temple, Vidyapith museum, Nivedita Kala Mandir, and Sarada Mandir, expressing her happiness and appreciation for these spaces. The extensive collection of articles amazed her, and she expressed her desire to revisit Vidyapith in the future due to the joyous experience she had.
