Oh yes, just need to search this video to 'Remember the name' after last night innings It's so so unfortunate and heart break but what a phrase that was...
From watching this game live on Tv to watching this inning on Instagram, old memories revived again..I Came to rewatch this game after watching a reel in March 2024.
2016 was a dream year for the West Indies. They won : The Men's T20 World Cup The Women's T20 World Cup The U-19 World Cup It's a record which would be hard to break
He talking in the same year in different games Men, Women and U19. If you people talking whole performance No one could beat 1975 West indies and 2000s Australia.
Could be one game wonder. But that one game was a world cup final and the very last over. I wonder how many others can hit match winning 4 sixes in a row in the last over of a world cup final?
@@capricorn9186 lol..bro whole team won world cup for england..and ben stokes was lucky in both the final..in 2019 everyone knows that dive was game changer..and in 2022 shaheen injury helped him as iftikhar ahmed had to bowl..otherwise ben stokes innings in 2022 was below average..
@@AJK666007 Speak only for yourself and not for others because alot of people will always remember his name. I will always remember Braithwaite and this entire innings will be etched in history and so is his name.Ben Stokes was on the receiving end,he is my favourite player. So iam happy he won the World Cup for England.
As a proud Guyanese I remember that final. Was the last memory my dad had before he passed. Fair play to Ben Stokes who has overcome that final but definitely some nostalgia there that Sunday of Windies of old. ❤
@@asad_ninety8 Yeah yeah, I obviously remember He played a pivotal innings for Windies in the final that eventually cost Srilanka the trophy! I guess people also remember how Marlon smashed Malinga for 4 sixes in an over. That was very handy as per the context of the game
Yeah. Then they started to pick 2nd string t20 sides…..while the stars were getting old. We have a good T20 side now though with an excellent captain in Ravi Rovman Powell. We should be a force in the World Cup next year for sure
@@juanestadian8471 All the best and for India God I don't want to lose another final. If we are in the final this time we have to win. This coming T20 will be crucial.
Why this AK Pal Ak47 lekka aaaya haah , i think he is dukki attma , frustrated on something .. eeen sab chuitya log maah kho bhij maah bina vaja lekha kyu aaate hooo, akkal nahi haah kya
Being an Algerian it was my favorite match of cricket history . Especially when Carlos Brathwaite hit 4 sixes at the end. But now the team of West Indies is not like that . I wish that West Indies would win the cup again. Inshallah .

This game gave birth to a great all rounder . What a redemption arc , from being the sole reason for a t20 world cup loss to being the savior in an extraordinary world cup win , ashes and a tt20 world cup now . Bow down to the indomitable fighter BEN STOKES .
The sole reason for a loss? Give over you absolute retard. It's a team sport and dare I say, England could have batted better still considering they were still caught. Braithwaite happened to catch 4 balls absolutely perfectly... nobody remembers him now whilst Stokes is one of the best all rounders in the world. I get sick and tired of this scapegoat mentality. It's just pseudo-intellectual tripe.
In this final.. West Indies were not just playing for Cup, they were playing for their life. Prior to World Cup, they didnt had any sponsor they, the WI cricket board had abandoned their playerw without any pay.
@@starlight6594 he has most runs for his country and most wickets in t20 also in t20 world cup just give him chance in number 3 in ipl he will be better than nitish rana or rahul tripathi i am not saying he will be as good as willianson or shikhar dhawan but he can do a pretty great job and also don’t forget that what he does in odi and test. Cricket is not all about T20’s
Carlos Braithwaite Carlos Braithwaite, Remember the name🔥 It feels sad to see a team who ruled cricket for almost 15 years is now struggling to qualify for the world cup losing to Scotland and Ireland The 2 times champions and runner ups for the 3rd times are out of the world cup😭
How many of us appreciate Jayawardene's epic hundred in the 2011 final,Gambhir's 70 odd in T20 WC final and 97 in 2011 WC final..The true cricket lover never underestimate the importance of silent heroes..We can't forget Rahul Dravid's contribution to the Indian cricket but a dull cricket lover don't know his importance
WATCHING IN 2024 BUT STILL SAME FEELINGS UNBELIEVABLE SCENES STILL GOOSEBUMPS THE GREATEST CRICKET MATCH OF ALL TIME BECAUSE SIR IAN BISHOP AND CARLOS BRATHWAITE AND UNDERRATED HERO OF WESTINDIES CRICKET MARLON SAMULES❤❤❤
@@faideeee9306 lol what? I agree NZ were unlucky and some rules were stupid but Ben Stokes was the best player in the match and played exceptionally well.
@@ROH17_007 or agar braithwate six na marta or world na hota or water na hota.. its a stupid argument.. England were the best odi team since 2 years.. the won. Thats it
well that is the game of sport, this year for me next year for you. Both Eng and NZ played brilliantly best wc match I've ever witnessed. Congrats to Eng on winning their first trophy.#respect frm a WI fan.
@@pauljackson9521 did your brain contract when you were a kid or something........ if the match is in india then obviously there will be more indians....... the statement would have been more relevant if the match was in west indians home ground..........
@@kushagrgupta3735 You think the Australian crowd cheers for other teams in their home ground??? Never!!!. That's why Indian fans are respected all over the world.
He WASN'T unfortunate for your information. He had an over left and he tried to HIT a stupid six. I laughed. The loser got what he deserved. No I am not criticising his style. His previous sixes were amazing but there is no need to hit six for every ball !!! I mean what will happen if he plays defence for one ball. He was out of his wits and lost the match. They could have easily won if he had played defence
@Grease quala Yeah they had only one wicket and if he was so confident he could have just taken a single and then he would have had an entire over left to finish the game
the word was known well before my friend, i think you never studied biology so you might have not known , the coronavirus is a family of viruses known to affect animals , now including humans. Hope it helped :)
This is still the best T20 wc final I've seen in my life. If you watched those 4 sixes live, consider yourself lucky. What a game 2016 was a year of great miracles.
This was a well earned victory for West Indies. they literally deserved this. After hearing from Sammy of what they went through and that how they had no support from their Board, to how they had their team shirts stitched in Calcutta. No doubt they have shown everyone that they should never underestimate them.
It's really sad to know what our team went though I know for sure now that since the Captain highlighted the board action in this world cup things are gonna change... Really a Cinderella story indeed.
Full credit to Braithwaite but that was some atrocious bowling from Stokes , 4 absolute pies just asking to be hit out of the ground .... how about some yorkers .... terrible bowling, choked big time.
@@asadaliabbasi320 not brathwaite in semis, it was Simmons and Russel. Btw pak was smashed by India badly in that tournament also and they were knocked out in the group stage only.
Doesn't matter where he stands today but whenever there'd be t20 world cup, Brathwaite name would be written in Golden Words.♥️ Remember The Name" Carlos Brathwaite "
Ben Stokes is redemption personified. Only the strongest of sportsmen can overcome such a low to win his team a 50 over world cup, an improbable Ashes win and the same T20 world cup he cost his team 6 years ago. Huge respect
Who's here after WI eliminated in 2023 WC qualifiers. What a fall from defeating England in WC Final to losing against Zimbabwe, Scotland, Holland in qualifiers
@@shazmeertv44 lmao, it was only 2 years ago I remember it like yesterday. You are either a boomer or a 9 y/o kid who's time passes like 10 years in one month
Even though Brathwaite hit the winning runs Marlon Samuels laid the foundations. This guy has nerves of steel, one of the best games of cricket I've ever seen.
@Lüv乇īhimanshu Gaming bruh!!!he is my(one of the most) favourite player....first go watch his contribution for the team...I am jot saying stokes is bad... obviously he is 💪but you shouldn't disrespect Carlos as he is also good....
@@wingzero2348 Stop crying like losers all the time.Im not an England fan but they got what they deserved. The played better cricket than NZ in last 4 years aswell as in the World cup.England deserved this
Ikr , these west indies team is full of huge hitting monsters , i swear i love their team , they take huge risks , they dont have wickets but still they try hittig sixes
The boy who lost the final to England against West Indies in 2016 won the T20 World Cup against Pakistan today 🔥🏴 Benjamin Stokes 🔥🔥🔥❤️🏴 13.11.2022
@@Aryan-pj3iw eventually I started hating the WI players when we lost against them ... But the feeling passed nd I admire their sportsmanship and courageous behaviour ... What a great side was WI during the 80-90s .... Wow
Not really. In west indies pitch is always a bowling pitch. Where pace and bounce are generally high also spin too. Watch Celkon cup u will get how difficult it was for other teams to score runs above 260
2011: Dhoni finishes off in style. 2016: Carlos Brathwaite, remember the name. 2022: Kohli goes down the ground, kohli goes out of the ground. He is not just a king, he is a genius.
@@patrakarpopatlalpandey2627 yep it was totally umpiring blunder. and that weird rule added kerosene to the fire. but stokes' and buttler's effort as well as kiwis' temperament after the match can't be forgotten.
The 2019 one was one of the most amazing rear-guard innings I've seen. The man just wouldn't give up, and he was a couple of inches away from snatching victory from the claws of defeat.
