I've used Braun products for over 30 years. I've had their top of the line, and lower level razors. At times when a unit is getting old along with the head needing replacement I look at new ones to see if it's just as well to get an entirely new one. Newer with electric razors isn't necessarily better. Manufacturers are always trying to improve shaves, and cut costs. You lose features at times you really liked, and not so often get something worthwhile in return. Braun is no exception. Cheaper metals, and not even metal, but rather plastic substituted for metal. They just don't want these things to last as long imo. This fellow's demonstration actually sold me off the 7. First, it was a fail on the growth level he had with the razor itself. Using the trimmer to just get started puts me at a loss if I let even a couple of days go by giving my face a break. Second, he really couldn't shave his face entirely with the razor after trimming it down. If I have to use a manual razor to finish shaving after two procedures with the electric it defeats the purpose of using an electric to begin with. I switched to electric as a young person to avoid a problem I was having using a manual razor with ingrown hairs. I avoid manual shaving like the plague. What I saw in the video may not be the experience of other users including myself, but it does give me pause.

I didn't have the trouble you had with stubble. However I only had 2 days growth of stubble to shave and the damn thing did it well. Very smooth, no wet shaver touch-ups needed at all, Very smooth finish. 5 minutes shave time total. Me thinks you still had at least 4 days worth of stubble after the beard trim treatment. Most if not all electric shavers start to fail after 3 days growth, they just don't do that well. The zero guard trimmer may have been better for your demo, heck my jaw line and adams apple = no problems.

From the first use, immediately after I turn off the Braun Series 7 razor (every time), there is a notification on the display that it is necessary to replace the cartridge. I see it happening on this presentation as well. Why is that so?

I just bought the Braun series7 7075cc and charged it while I was listening and reading the reviews, I said $hit what do I do now??? I went into the bathroom and tried it out, it has been about 9 or 10 hours since my last normal shave? I just use a regular razor every day and notice that the Gillet blades I check out this weekend are selling for about $3.00 each and they may last a month or less before disposing them? I did the math and it looks like blades are to expensive to buy anymore. The shave lasted maybe 3 minuets at most shaving against the hair growth not with the hair, I shaved dry and the shave was better than the razor blade in a lot less time. I will bet that if I use some pre shave liquid the closer the shave and faster the time. Bottom line I am happy with the Series 7 and did not throw away my money...

When I bought this, I didn't know how it cleaned. I assumed a water tank--Not a refill cartridge. If I wanted an expensive refill, I'd keep buying Gillette 18-blade razers and cutting myself when the head too big to fit. I watched your video out of order after finding the weird liquid pack in the box, only to see how poor a shave it does. Maybe it would work better for me? It's possible, after all. Before I tried it, I watched from the beginning and learned it doesn't charge in its stand. Well, that does it for me! Thankfully, your unboxing helped me put it away for the inevitable Amazon return.

Unfortunately I bought the machine before I saw your video. Same problem. Stoubles. I had to use a regular razor to finish the job. I'm returning this one. Thanks again.

I found that when using it dry, it does indeed miss some hairs. However when using it with some foam or gel it catches all the hairs more easily in one go. No need to a second pass. Try it for yourself mate ;)

I think Dave moves the razor over his face too fast and that slower, more deliberate movements might be more effective. Also, a normal daily shave rather than a major face clean-up would be more useful to me as a test of this shaver.

I have a question/an idea ! I purchased Braun Series 7 Cassette 70S (9000 Series) (Basically replacement blades) and was wondering, theirs gotta be a way to sharpen/or send out to get sharpened my old Braun blades. Please Braun Series 7 people/customers/professional Braun Employees/Engineers , this is such an amazing product , please incorporate a blade sharping business that goes along w/ the sell of the new Cassette! You guys figure that out , literally quite possible the best product ever invented! Please and thank you.

Good video, thank you. I have the same problem under the chin, I slowed down the movement of the razor and it picks up the hair I missed. Hope this will help you.

How does the charger work?? I have one cord; does it plug into the shaver or the charger? Not enough detail in this video. I know how to shave my face, I want to know how to use the equipment that came with the shaver.

Series 7 CAN shave razor close, but... Long smooth strokes miss many hairs, it requires a scrubbing action with overlapping ~1-2cm strokes. Dry shaving leaks clippings out the back as it cuts, use it over the sink, clean it before putting in your travel kit. I miss the built-in trimmer on my Norelco, swapping heads to trim is a nuisance.

What is the point of paying 200 Euro for an electrical razor if at the end I will have to use a disposable one that almost cost nothing? I have the one blade from Philips but I am not sure if I should keep it or buy a Braun one. I would appreciate any advice or help.

I just got mine for Christmas. The manual is not the best. I have used Brauns for many years as they work great and don't turn my face into hamburger. I shave daily and this thing worked very well. The only question that I have and still goes unanswered is with the charging/cleaning station. Like how often to clean and charge, can the razor just sit in the charger without pushing the top button down?

Wait. You had to use a traditional razor afterwards? I bought this because I kept getting cuts from the traditional razor.

I have recently bought the series seven and the replacement indicator is repeatedly flashing with a brand new head attached how can the issue be fixed?.

U need to keep the razor on ur skin and go back anf forth. Not one stroke at a time. U use it completly wrong. And its not made to shave 2 week of beard...i use braun serie7 for 2-3 years and it work pretty well. Now i upgrade to panasonic arc-5 razor. The best !

You don’t have to do all of that…you do have to start with stubble hair as the shaver is meant to be used daily…Apply some electric preshave oil and move fairly slow, against the grain…It’ll get it done in one or two passes…And this is coming from a guy with thick, coarse hair.

Ill keep doing it the old way with just razor blades. 😂

The 7000 series Braun has terrible pictorial instructions. I am a first-time user of an electric razor and need "word copy" to learn how to use and care for this expensive razor. Even the online Braun manual is insufficient and a repeat of the in-box instructions. How about a detailed video for newbies like me to go through all the functions and a step-by-step orientation for its usage?

You pay 200 euro so in the end to use a 10 euro thing to finish and all takes 5 times longer then with 20 euro device...what is the point to buy this??

I purchased after watching a few videos and reading reviews. I'm definitely disappointed. It doesn't work. Pulls hairs out like everyone I've ever tried. Got it today and returning tomorrow. I do not think an electric shaver exists that actually works. Last time I tried one was probably 10 years ago and I'm still getting the same results.

I think you need to slow down when shaving. I think you are trying to use it as a none electric razor.

Worst instruction manual ever. All pictures and I have no clue what they mean. Ridiculous.

This came with no instructions. And what I really needed to know was how to use the cleaning system, which is like nothing I have previously seen. Please modify your video to include the confusion part.

Dude all electric razors are designed for daily or around 3 day use, your face was basically a pre beard and those attachments are for grooming and trimming your mustache or sideburns, and what you were doing was of course is going to take some time. This whole exercise looked more like "Oh Crap I've got to put a video out this week to keep my RU-vid stats up".
