What a coincidence, just yesterday I sent a message to Perfect Day using the form on their website saying "Please, set up on online store and make the powders (casein, whey, or a premade mix, whatever is most convenient for you) available to the consumer, I want to make all kinds of things at home with it. TAKE MY MONEY" And they answered "Thanks for your suggestion! To quickly clarify our business model: we partner with other food companies to make table-ready goods powered by our protein. At this stage we aren’t marketing our protein powders for consumers directly (though this isn’t outside the realm of possibility someday!) We’re interested in the French market, but it’s too early to say when one of our brand partners will help us launch products there. We are currently in the process of doing test market runs in certain geographies, and international expansion is something we’re exploring. We hope the whole world has the chance to taste the magic of our protein - and the products made with it - very soon!" Maybe if enough people send them that kind of messages they'll start selling the powders. Ice cream is cool but it's not really what I want to be doing with milk proteins. It has so much more potential

I also love hazelnut and I've been dying to try the Oatly hazelnut swirl flavor because their ice cream is so creamy, but it is elusive. I have yet to find it.

Hmm... hazelnut ice cream? I would definitely love trying it. 😊 Hazelnuts are strange for me because I’m not a big fan of them by themselves (or even with mixed nuts) but hazelnut coffee, or chocolate covered hazelnuts... 😍🤤 Heck yes! Two of my favorite things!

I saw this on my sprouts "new arrivals" section on my Instacart. I didn't realize I forgot to add it to my cart and was upset I didn't find it in my grocery bags. I'm glad it didn't go through cause dairy doesn't agree with me. I dont think it matters how kindly its made lol

I saw these in my Fry's here in Phoenix. I didn't pick them up because my daughter has a milk allergy, but they look cool. Oh & I had the same issue with Threadless. We used to always do the hoodie sale, and some of those are still amazing. now I need to find a new shirt place. sad day.

It could be that the whey protein produced from bacteria is a little bit different on a molecular level. During protein synthesis, the protein can be modified by different enzymes. A common example, which is also done to some proteins in milk, is glycosylation. A preformed sugar structure is added onto the protein and later further processed, depending on the specific protein and its sequence. But the signal sequences, aka the messages to the enzymes that there needs to be a modification, aswell as the modifying enzymes themselves, are different between the microorganisms and cows. So this means that the protein itself is the same, but there might be some differences in the modifications. I've heard that some people can even distinguish wether cheese has been treated with rennet from calves or microbiological rennet.

Yeah, that's super common with anime it takes like 2-3 chapters to create one episode and depending on the manga it either comes out once a week or once a month so they add a lot of filler because they don't have much material to work with.

My local kroger has a couple. On sale $4.99 'vanilla and cookies' and 'lot of chocolate'. Not sure if I want to go down that road tho. My only issue with the vegan nut milk based ice creams is they freeze so solid.

I found a store near me that sold the ice creams for $1.99, it’s called Grocery Outlet. Currently have Pb& Fudge and Blueberry Pie in my freezer. Idk why, but I feel weird about eating it lol. My gf tried both pb&fudge and blueberry pie and loved them though!(she’s vegan too)

I love anime and I love AOT. I think it drags on like that because they are converting a comic style book into a show. Definitely has one of the better story lines with great fight scenes and nobody has a crush on their sister which is a plus 😂

Unrelated, but I'm curious if you've tried the siggi's non-dairy yogurt? I just tried it and was really impressed, it has 10 g of protien which was a big deal to me. The only thing is it was pretty sour- other than that it was really good!

Their website lists it as being available at all the Ralphs(SoCal Kroger) and Sprouts in my area. I typically shop at Ralph’s though and when I go on Ralph’s app, it doesn’t show anything when I type in brave robot..and on Instacart it says it’s not available at any Ralph’s in my area. Is it that new to the stores that they haven’t been able to add it on their back end yet?...maybe I’ll make a physical trip to Ralph’s today and double check

For the t shirts: it could be that they are using a different vinyl that maybe is too thin or old, i make t shirts all the time and u have to press it at a certain temp and pressure, those are the things thag can make a diffedence as well

Cultured Whey protein can be potentially super big thing. Hopefully it will become equal in price to actual whey protein (which cheap only due to being heavily subsidized by gov).

I’m so sleepy and my brain hurts and it refuses to wrap Itself around how this ice cream is possible but I’m glad it is tho seriously a poor business move not to have Mint Chocolate chip. 😜😀

I love anime, but some drag on forever like you said, Swayze- it’s the worst when the creators have to make a month+ long “filler arc” story so the writers can catch up. 😫 You can’t go wrong with Ghost in the Shell or Cowboy Bebop though- two of the best series EVER. 💗 (I could go on for days about my love for Ghost in the Shell, so damn good!)

I’m assuming the aftertaste of cows milk is some of the other solids or maybe the lactose? So considering this is isolated whey protein it lacks that flavour also.

I found these at grocery outlet bargain market in LA for $2 each!! Like r u kidding me I got all of them! Except for the ones w nuts bc allergies but they were so good! I even liked the blueberry one bc it was mostly pie crust and just kinda purple! Gotta go back ASAP I already ran out!

One positive of Brave Robot is that whey-based ice cream has a more complete amino acid profile than other vegan ice creams.

Hi there from vegan freezer manager! I got employed few months ago and they gave me this duty to manage freezers :)) So ye, it might exists.

Do they have a vegan version of "Mono and Diglycerides"? I ask because I was looking up a popular brand of margarine and found that they use this additive. I looked to see what the additive is made from and it said bovine sources. I looked at the ingredients from "Brave Robot's, Hazelnut Chocolate Chunk" and it said there was this additive in this flavor. I don't know if this is the only one of the flavors that has it, or if there is a vegan version of this additive. I figured you would know.

This is maybe too niche to address, but when it comes to lab grown meat, ethically I'm completely on board, but I have a sort of mental block/yuck factor to it. Growing up reading dystopian sci-fi, 3d printed food was often included in the story to signal a society that had lost touch with its humanity, nature, culture, or just to show general gluttony/over-convenience. You seem like a bit of a sci-fi fan, do you have any thoughts on this?

The milk aftertaste you’re talking about is mucus. The few times a coffee shop has accidentally given me cows milk instead of plant milk, I know immediately because all I can taste is mucus in the back of my throat.
