Brave School Crossing Guard Fights Off Woman Trying to Kidnap An 8-Year-Old Girl

People idolize actors and celebrities BUT this woman is a true HERO!

Everyone is saying we need more people like her but what about we say we need to be more like her? We should all take accountability when we see injustice and be that brave person so that we can inspire many more. Stay safe everyone!

I suggested that she could use her stop sign and just smack the kidnapper in the face with it like a frying pan

The kidnapper is named Maria Ramirez, aged 50. Charged with one count of felony kidnapping.

She should’ve been given a financial reward as well. She stepped outside of her job duty and risked her own safety for the well being of that child . She’s extremely courageous.

That woman deserves every parents thanks and respect!!! Good for her. We need more people like this in the world, not the people that look away because they don’t want to get enfolded.

Let's not forget to give HUGE kudos to the mom...who had obviously taught her child how to respond in such a situation. Not every kid would know to call out. Good job mom...and bless sweet crossing guard for being alert and attentive.

THIS right here is why it is so important to teach kids starting around the ages of 7-8 about stranger danger because had she just kept walking with this person not knowing how to ask for help or what to do in a situation like this it could have went terribly wrong.

So commendable, this woman, able to think on her own, and put that child's needs first. Wow I'm impressed by that lady; I sure hope I'd be as strong of character, and merit as she was.

When I was a kid I would always walk to school and there was this crossing guard and I always was able to give her a fist bump while crossing from kindergarten to gr 3, one day she left and I diddent know what happened. She got replaced by someone else. I still think of what an impact it made in my life and I am grateful to this day for her. I left that school a year later.

The crossing guard deserves all the gratitude the mother has as does the child who spoke out for herself and got help congratulations to the mother for training her child so well the child for choosing to not be a passive victim volunteer, and the crossing guard who did all she could and successfully prevented horrible tragedy

That what our crossing guards do everyday they protect our children this incredible lady took it a step further in preventing a child from behind abducted during her watch. She thought of the child first and did not hesitate in protecting her. She is a hero in every parent and teacher she knows.

The kid and crossimg guard were smart becuase the kid was not scared to speak up and say please help me and the crossing guard is smart because she was not afraid for her hieght and the lady or person who tried to kidnap the kid was taller than her

This just reminds me of the kind man who was my cross guard in elementary. I don't remember his name now since it's been so long but we talked everyday as I was growing up. I always felt safe and comfortable around him, I believe he also would've done similar to protect any of the kids there. He was always so kind and protective, making sure we handled the busy road safely and taught us how to pay attention at all times. We need to acknowledge the people that all help enable safety for the kids of our country.
