Was raised a cardinals fan, but they were never on TV and its hard as a kid to love a team just reading box scores. But the Braves were always on TBS and boy they were fun to watch. I played 3rd base and just fell in love w/ the young 3rd basemen who could switch hit, had a cool nickname, and wore the high socks. I love the high socks and nobody wore them in the 90s. Loved when it was the "Jones brothers", miss hearing Chopper to Chipper. TBS made the Braves Americas team. Still wear my #10 jersey a few times a year, i feel blessed to have watched this living legend.

AlabamaPanther Johnson javy actually lost a good amount of weight that year. Doesn't mean he didn't use, but he certainly didn't get huge that year.

Did this woman think guys were taking steroids in the clubhouse in front of everybody?
@mattray9904
@mattray9904 Год назад
I'm not against steroids and the doses MLB players would typically do would be considered quite moderate. Pre-2005 should be considered fair game since there were no public tests or penalties before that and no way to account for who did and didn't use steroids. With that said, it was widely reported that Chipper gained 20 pounds of muscle in the offseason before his 1999 MVP season and you can still find contemporary articles referencing this. Anyone who had that sort of offseason, particularly before a career year is likely to have used during that time. There were many users who didn't transform their bodies as well because some may have just done a few short cycles and were not looking for size. It'd be even harder to guess who tried HGH, particularly to recover from an injury at one point.

He was my hero but I never bought that he didn’t do it. MVP in 99. The heart of the roid era. If he didn’t it’s one of the highest achievements in the history of professional sports. But if you wanna believe that he can cheat on his wife but not cheat at a sport go for it. I’m not that gullible
@kayleeensley3102
@kayleeensley3102 2 года назад
You don't believe him because he cheated on his wife, that statement doesn't make any sense. He was your hero but you don't believe him because he cheated on his wife. What does that have to do with baseball? Guy's were on the road all the time, not excusing it but that was a long time ago. He is married and has a family. He won the batting title late in his career, is that because of steroids?

Say's who? Griffey say's he never took them does that mean he is lying? Considering the homerun difference between the two? Chipper wasn't a homerun hitter, he was a pull hitter and his swing, timing, and eye's contributed to his success. Do you know how difficult it is to be a switch hitter? Not only that but he is in the top 5 of all time.
