I don't think I could handle playing them in the playoffs. All 6 games this season were 1 run games. My heart and nervous wouldn't be able to handle that. But yes it was an amazing series.
You couldn’t be more correct. I’ve been a nervous wreck for three days and I’m just happy to see the boys on a flight home. Also a series W against the hottest team in baseball is a huge plus.
@@michaelfinnegan368 Braves are clearly the better team. Cincy was on an 11 game winning streak coming into this series and the Braves still took 2 out of 3, on the road as well might I add.
The Reds have the makings of a great team, but to be honest about this series the Reds were riding an hot wave against two of our worst pitchers in the rotation and another who is iffy at times in Charlie Morton, but the Braves still took 2 of 3 which says much for us imho.
Felt like a heavyweight bout! No score is safe from moment to moment. You can be up by 3 and then down by 2 in a second. This series is a Classic to me.
This series has been fantastic but I wouldn't mind the next one being a little less stressful for the Braves, I can't handle this kind of game every day.
By far the most exciting series thus far this year. Had a definitive playoff feel to it. Wish the Reds nothing but success the remainder of the year. Young club that’s fun to watch. Chop On!
Notes From the Game: - Charlie Morton put in a Good Effort, But had a outing that was mediocre. 5 Innings of 3-Run, 7-Hit Ball, Walking 3 and Striking Out 7 en route to a Win. Morton Improves to 7-6 with an ERA of 3.81. - The Bullpen... Wasn't much better. It took 5 Pitchers to get through the Final Four Innings, and they allowed 3 Runs on 4 Hits, Walking 3 and Striking Out 5. Iglesias Gets his 12th Save of the Season, but got into a 1st and 3rd Jam before getting a DOUBLE KILL to end it. Iglesias is 12/14 in Save Opportunities, and his ERA Stands in at 4.57. ROTATION TOTAL: 9 Innings, 6 Runs, 11 Hits, 6 Walks, 12 Strike Outs, 1 Home Run Allowed. Once Again, This Tenacious Braves' Offense led the way to Victory! - Ozzie didn't have his best today, but he did get the offense started in the 3rd with a RBI Sacrifice Fly, and adding a Walk later, finishing 0-4. Albies holds onto a .266/.319/.821 Line through 77 Games. + Good to have Sean Murphy back in the Lineup! And he came back with the basics! 2-4 With Two Singles, a Walk, and an RBI! Murphy Stands in with a .290/.388/.919 in 59 Games! + Marcell Ozuna showed Patience and Perseverance at the Plate! 1-3 with a Single, Two Walks, and 2 RBIs, Including the GAME-DECISIVE RBI WALK in the 8th! Ozuna holds firm with a .245 (+.001)/.331 (+.006)/.817 (+.004) Line in 61 Games! + KEEP OLSON IN THE 5TH SPOT! His Only Hit was a CLUTCH, GO-AHEAD THREE RUN SUPER MISSILE DOWN THE LEFT FIELD LINE IN THE 6TH! Olson Steps Up to a .236/.350/.891 Line with 25 Home Runs and 60 RBIs through 77 Games! + OTHER NOTABLES: Ronald Acuna Jr. had a 2-6 Day, While Eddie Rosario, Orlando Arcia, and Michael Harris II each had 1 Hit. Austin Riley and Eddie Rosario also had 2 Walks, while Ozzie Albies, Matt Olson, and Sean Muprphy had 1 Walk Each, meaning Every Braves' Starter was on base at some point Today. - Who is Matt McLain and Why did he channel his Inner John McClane Today? 4-5 with THREE DOUBLES AND A SOLO SUPER MISSILE, TOTALLING 5 RBIS ON THE DAY! McLain stands in with a .325/.380/.921 Line with 5 Home Runs and 22 RBIs in 37 Games. WHO IS THIS GUY?! + WHAT A SERIES! The Atlanta Braves came into The Great American Ballpark, Home of the Cincinatti Reds, and we were given a PURE, UNFILTERED DOG FIGHT Between Two of the Best Teams in the National League RIGHT NOW. But as it Stands today.... *THE BRAVES WERE THE BETTER TEAM TODAY.* Both Teams have work to do in terms of Pitching, but the offensive and defensive capabilities of Both Teams were on FULL DISPLAY. + I'll tip my cap to the Cincinnati Faithful: You Gave Us ONE HELL OF A FIGHT. Never let any deficit dishearten you, Never let any lead give you a false sense of security, and Performed Well for a Crowd that was INTO EVERY GAME. Don't lose heart in this defeat; You pushed what is currently the BEST TEAM IN THE NL... TO THE LIMIT. You've earned your spot as the Best of the NL Central, but I want to see this team Continue to Grow. Keep Going; Keep Fighting; You may just shock the rest of the NL Central into stunned silence. - The Marlins picked up a Series Win over the Pirates, We FINALLY Got a Good Episode of LOLMets... That Featured a Phillies Victory, and the Nationals... are still playing the Padres as we speak. This Keeps Atlanta at 6 Games Ahead of Miami, 10 Games Ahead of Philly, 15 Ahead of York, and 20 1/2 Games Ahead of Washington. WHAT'S NEXT? With a 4-2 Homestand Behind them, The Cincinnati Reds will take a Short 3-Game Visit to Camden Yards for an Interleague Matchup with the Baltimore Orioles. Brandon Willamson will answer the call for the Reds, Who's only managed a 1-0 Record in his first 7 Starts, Allowing 25 Runs (22 Earned) in just 36 2/3 Innings. Meanwhile, Cole Irvin will get the start for Baltimore, who's had an Odd Month of June, Going 1-1 with 5 Runs Allowed in just 10 1/3 Innings Pitched. Can the Reds get out of a Two Game Win Streak with the Help of Williamson and their Talented Offense? Or Will Irvin and the Orioles start a New Losing Trend for Cincy? We will find out at 7:05 P.M. EDT on MASN (Orioles) and Bally Sports Ohio (Reds)! The Road doesn't get any easier, eh? We Return Home to Truist Park, only to find the Best Team in the AL Central... And Our Divisional Rival from the Sunshine State...Lying in wait. The Minnesota Twins... The Only Standout Team in what is a Very Self-Destructive Division in the AL Central. For a Team that has Standout Stars like Correa, Gallo, Kepler, Buxton, and Vazquez... And a Pitching Rotation composing of Maeda, Gray, and Lopez... I feel like this team should have more than 40 Wins to this point.... But what do I know? They're the best in the AL Central... IT'S TIME TO SHOW THEM WHAT THE BEST OF THE NL EAST CAN DO! It's the Minnesota Twins... AND YOUR ATLANTA BRAVES! Round 1 of 3 in this Interleague Showdown will feature a Battle Between the Pickled Veteran... And the STACHED STRIKER. For the Twins, Sonny Gray will take the Helm, who hasn't had his Best in June, but is battling through his starts. Don't let that 0-1 Record fool you. He's Only Allowed 9 Runs in 20 2/3 Innings, and will be looking to finish June with a Win. Meanwhile, SPENCER STRIDER Will take up Battle Stations for the Braves, Who's had an Inconsistent June, but is looking to finish strong, Going 3-0 in the Month, but allowing 16 Runs in just 21 Innings. Nevertheless, he seeks to Build off a Solid Outing against the Phillies, in which he earned the Win, Allowing Just 1 Run in 6 Innings of Work. Can STRIDER and the Braves Start Another Win Streak and get on the Right Track to start this Late-Month Homestand? Or will Sonny and the Twins find a way to put Gloomy Skies over Truist Park? We will find out at 7:20 P.M. EDT / 6:20 P.M. CDT on Bally Sports North (Twins), Bally Sports South (Braves), and MLB Network (Out-Of-Market ONLY)! SoundFX09, Signing Out!
PLAYOFFS VIBES IN JUNE EVERY GAME WAS EPIC RESPECT TO THE REDS BUT MY BRAVES A LIL MORE SIDENOTE THAT KID ELLA De LA CUZ IS FUN TO WATCH BRO GOT A CYCLE😯😯😯😯😯
Bullpen has been very good as of late. Can’t be perfect every night and sometimes the hitter just beats you even when you make a good pitch. That being said I think if they add anywhere at the deadline I could see them getting a bullpen piece.
I think the Braves would run over the Reds in the playoffs. They will run out gas by then. No way they can keep up what they are doing with that starting rotation.
@@HipRapBlack7 yeah they saw a kid with 2 MLB starts and only 110 innings pitched since high school, then another young pitcher with 9 total MLB starts and finally a Charlie Morton who had his C stuff at best. Run that series back with Strider, Fried and Wright and it probably looks quite a bit different.
I haven’t enjoyed watching a player as much as I do Acuna since Ken Griffey Jr. both swings are amazing to the eye and they were always bond to make amazing play no matter where they were in the field
The braves have the most stacked lineup I've seen in a while. There's not one guy in the batting lineup who's weak. All can hit and hit with power. Most exciting offensive team I've seen in a while. I think they are all All stars.
@@nixthebravesfan2324 seems like he's been hitting the ball pretty good lately. I guess what I was trying to convey was..there's not one guy in the lineup that I wouldn't count on for a big hit in a big situation...except maybe for the guy mentioned in the above comment.
Perhaps a little too well, can you imagine the number of HR's the Braves would have if they played their home games here while already leading the majors.
Braves def. Reds 7-6!!!!!! ⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾ (Same Score as Yesterday) At the Top of the 3rd Inning, Ozzie Albies #1 (2B) doing a Sacrifice Fly as Harris scores and Sean Murphy #12 (Catcher) smashes a RBI Single and Marcell Ozuna #20 (LF) smashes an RBI Single and at the Top of the 6th Inning, Matt Olson #28 (1B) crushes a 3-Run Home Run Blast and at the Top of the 8th Inning, Marcell Ozuna #20 (LF) doing an RBI Walk as Albies scores as the Braves win in a 7-6 winning game victory over the Cincinnati Reds!!!!!!!!!! (Same Score as Yesterday) ⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾ #ForTheA
I'm a braves fan and I have to admit that Freidel was safe and it should've been overturned but I'm not an umpire but it's just my opinion but it's still a great series no matter what
As another braves fan I think he was safe too. But that's the nature of the game. We have had calls in the past that did not go our way and I think it all eventually evens out in the end.
this is not the team i want to play in the playoffs right now. great series win. much respect for the reds though. each game of this series was won by 1 point cant get any closer then that
This is random, but I'm over all the celebrations after hits and homers. Half the time they players don't even look like they are into it standing on second, and the homeroom thing is becoming a huge production. What they need to do is have a weekly players meeting to come up with new celebrations for the week, and then change it up the next week, and so on. Once one gets over used it loses its impact.
