Brawlhalla: Beating an Entire Team in a Crew Battle (3 vs. 15 stocks)

NOTE: This took place in a much older, slower version of the game

This happened in the Apex Crew Battle Tournament (challonge.com/BHCrewBattle) on March 13th, 2016. For those of you unaware, in this tournament, each team has 5 players with 3 stocks each to duke it out, and whatever team ends up with more stocks at the end wins. Because your stocks carry over, if you win your game you are able to fight the next player with however many stocks you had left over (ie: I win with 2 stocks left, I fight the next opponent with 2 stocks while they have 3. The person I beat is then eliminated from the crew battle).
Well, in this game, I beat the entire enemy team by myself, such that the 2nd person on our team couldn't even get sent out. It felt pretty good, not gonna lie.

The last fight perfectly shows the fact that faster characters have a huge advantage against slower ones in this game. I mean look at Hattori's mid-air control, it's ridiculous how fast she can turn back or move up and down. And since Hattori is the fastest legend, she's the most cancerous too.

He IS very good, but Hattori at that point was a bit too strong. Her damage profile made no sense in combination with her movement speed and dexterity. I think she got rebalanced though, when I went into trainingmode she seemed to deal less damage, although I'm not sure about that. And btw this ins't cs:go, silver ins't a great insult, it'd rather be bronze or unranked :P

EmPi She hasn't gotten majorly rebalanced in months (ie: only a change in NSig force). Hattori hasn't been top tier since June of last year. Not that I really care about thinking that though.

Now here is why people need to stop complaining about Kor and worry about Hattori. It blows my mind the amount of people that complain that Kor is too OP. I've been so many Kor's but Hattori is a fucking joke, especially when spammed with players that cheese to win. Honestly it pisses me off and I hope the developers see this video and realise that Hattori is in serious need of some work.

I normally don't respond to these comments, but this is pretty funny. Hattori is thought of as OP and broken pretty much everywhere Gold and below. Above that, she's just thought of as average. In terms of top tier players' legend picks, I'm pretty much the *only* Hattori.

+eggsoupTV I can never seem to adapt to fighting against a Hattori. I've studied her moves, her reach, everything. But I just can't get over how good she seems if the player knows how to dodge correctly. It's like trying to catch a fly with chopsticks. I usually play Ulgrim, Ember, and Sir Roland-- from an experienced player like yourself, do you feel like any of those matchups target Hattori the most, or maybe give you the toughest time? I really want to get better at this game. It's pretty fun. Thank you :)

It's not about adapting to a legend. It's about adapting to a player. Ulgrim/Ember/Roland are pretty even matchups for Hattori.

Necro Bear More of how experienced/knowledgeable about the game and how it works. Generally speaking, the players at lower ranks don't know as much about counterpicks and what is actually happening and why in certain situations, so they make a lot of statements based on salt, and not factual evidence. So the general consensus about, let's say Hattori, is that she is just an average character. But if you talk to those who are less experienced in the game, they would probably say she is OP/cancer.

6:53 you did the same attack Hattori uses on ground (down + light), but in mid-air. At 7:33 you jumped into the air and performed the heavy attack, the dark crescent cut, that we can only do on the ground. When I jump into mid-air and do a heavy, it spirals me upward. I've tried using heavy + all directions in mid-air. How???

Did you edit the sound? 'Cause I think the bass might be a lot higher, tho' I may be wrong. If that wasn't the case, would you mind telling me what you did? I've been trying to get a similar effect on some of my productions as of late. Anyways, nice work in this fight. You really dominated all those matches. :)
