Looking back on this match, Diego Forlan was never the same for Uruguay after that penalty save. Was my favorite player during the 2010 World Cup which was the first one I watched.

caelanl Brazilian players are pretty dirty as well, everyone in South America and Latin America knows that. But others around the world still credit them with the "Jogo Bonito" status that since long ago stopped existing in Brazilian football. Pretty much since like Pele retired, lol. So there's no special reason as to why David Luiz committed that penalty, other than the fact that he plays dirty as well as all other teams from CONMEBOL.

I wanna say something. Not only the brazilian players play dirty. Everyone plays dirty if the match is really really important and they trying to win a title or cup. Example: Spain Vs Netherlands. That match was just out of hands. There were a lot of fouls. They were playing dirty to win the world cup nd be the world cup champions. In this case, the brazilians wanted to make it to the finals of the confederation cup, so they did whatever it took to win nd decided to play dirty... Oh well. We cant do nothing about it, we can only watch nd thats it :/

Estuardo Marroquin Exactly. Everyone wants to win, so most times important matches will get dirty. But let's just be clear about one thing: Jogo Bonito is dead and it has been dead for many decades.

Even with David Luis, that horrible, pathetic defender on, meaning, Brazil was playing with -1, we still won that tough game. Then, a year later, it became definitely clearer for those who doubted it, how pathetic DL was after a 7x1... He never had level to play on any Brazilian squad, we had many better players in Brazil at the time.
