Well is not true, anyone can go and will have any problem now they have tours with a small kind of truck where the tourists sit in a wide open back. Dealers are there to sell, not to steal or harm people sure not to make friends either. If they know people are stealing in or near the favela, one or two will look to find them and if they do odds are, one less thief in Rio. Been to place far dangerous than this at The US, such as Compton L A. some hole in Oakland,Soweto in S Africa and the most dangerous place in Kingston Jamaica. Was there with my girl on a bar far from Kingston, this guy came up to me asking where I was from. said Brazil. No way muum, well a 6,1 white guy, blond straight hair green eyes a surfer. He walked away and came with a soccer ball. Brazilian show me, was and am a really good player, got the ball and start showing some skills. Two days later was there to play a real game, the only white guy on the pitch and out. We won the game scored two goals and after there i was with a bunch of guys drinking beer and weed all around.
