The Nordeste region in Brazil has become an oven: it is up to 47 degrees in the shade and 70 degrees in the sun; sand and dust engulf entire lands; for truckers, the sand turns into a deadly trap. Director: Philippe Lafaix
Northeast represent! I'm from Ceará and absolutely adore our beautiful Caatinga. Despite what it looks like, the area is teeming with culture, history, wildlife, flora and vibrancy. Armadilloes, puma, deer, parrots, peccaries, anteaters, porcupines, sloths, caiman, foxes, ocelots, etc.

The bravest person was the driver of the Land Rover Discovery! They are incredibly unreliable and break down constantly. Like the Australia's say... If you want to go into the Outback drive a Land Rover. If you want to come back take a Toyota Land Cruiser.

fake news says at minute 28:14, informing that president bolsonaro encourages burning. Lie! Another lie is to say that this type of truck is common in Brazil. see in the videos several carts with toyota 4x4 traction!
@@king_piratezzz4581 thats is true, some thing we share with brazil is that ethiopia is fourth coffe exporter, thank for your hobby for admiring brazil as me
Watching more into the video: you can’t generalize Brasil and regions are so diverse! Everyone is so different, it’s a diverse culture. You really feel a freedom here, hard to explain
Brazil is paved, what in the fuck are you talking about? It may be full of pot holes, but it’s paved. They showed you one area of Brazil which is not developed. Use your trusty google and fucking do some research dumbasses.
Yess Brazil govt can easily make Asphalt road in this section but they seems to be more corrupt n unseen to these people than govt of most central n west African nations like congo .
Brazil... land of extreme wealth and poverty. While these Brazilians suffer their entire lives in these precarious conditions, politicians and people with more financial conditions live in the best country in the world.
As a foreigner living here and I am staying it is the best place on the planet…while the world is suffering from water shortages and food, here sun, super fertile land, fruit free in the trees, plenty of rain! As they described above, even the poor super friendly and still make a living through so many ways creative, many churches help the poor and some just lazy to work…in my city all the homeless eat all meals for free from the churches that come with big trucks and they give like in the airplanes in small boxes, so hygienic. It’s actually a very well organized country and people really do help each other it’s nowhere in the world I have seen it. In general it’s an amazing culture and the lifestyle is amazing! I know so many people that make basic salary of 1000-1200 Reals ( $200 ) but they might also have a second job Uber which they make another 1K or 3K so they hard a lot and still manage to go to the beach and be spontaneous…also many middle class are waaaay higher life than europe middle class. I was shocked of young couples having full time Nannie’s to take care of their kids and cleaners coming in because they can afford. Normal people can afford beauty treatments that in europe would cost a fortune…you see middle class age 60 they do some crazy lifts that makes them look amazing. In europe you have to be very wealthy to do that. You should see most people’s teeth here crazy good condition. Hygiene and showering most like 99% smell amazing because they shower like 3-4 times a day. Some silly stuff I am mentioning but as a European here I am pretty shocked how amazing the standard in these things. My friends could never afford fixing their faces, teeth and pretty much everything like here. It’s a massive county so it also has massive opportunities. I have a friend that is 22 and he has started his own marketing company ( very brought up pretty poor ) but he earns like $4K
ABSOLUTELY CORRECT PERIOD!!! ALL OVER THE WORLD, THESE NASTY CORRUPTED GOVERNMENT EXISTS!!!😤😡😠🤬. HATE THOSE GODDAMN THIEVES POLI-(TRICKS)-IANS !!!🧛♀️🧛♂️
Common struggles globally ??? Do you mean like corrupt politicians and greedy business people combining to destroy watersheds/ecosystems for the sake of votes and making a quick buck !?! Those kinds of common struggles ???????🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
You missed the point : Brazil is being destroyed by politcians and greedy 'quick profit' business people and farmers who are destroying more and more water sheds which leads to widespread drought conditions !?!🤔🙄🤔🙄😥😥😥😥😥
I live in Northeast in Brazil. Every year is like this: Drys in North and Northeast, floods in the south and southeast. Every year it's like this, and every year our politicians and people of the judiciary rise their already high ages, living like kings, or spent taxes money on unnecessary things like soccer stadiums or send It to other countries that are politically aligned and Will never pay It back. And every election we choose the same governants. That's why Brazil will be forever the country of the future, a future that never comes.
I enjoy watching your documentaries, but I am dyslexic and cannot read the subtitles. Is it possible to use voice translation as used before in previous documentaries? I have been a frequent viewer ever since you first started out. My household also enjoys watching your documentaries.
O Brasil é muito mal representado no exterior...CHEGOU .SE O ABSURDO DE CERTA VEZ .O LULA DA SILVA DIZER NA FRANÇA QUE TÍNHAMOS 30 MILHÕES DE CRIANÇAS DE RUA....E SUA MINISTRA MARINA SILVA FALAR QUASE Á MESMA COISA...DISSE QUE NO BRASIL 130 MILHÕES DE PESSOAS PASSAM FOME 😮😮😮
How do you donate to Christiana and her four children the young lady that got her roof built such a beautiful soul and one of God's children just one person in the world that deserves to get help too I would love to know how God bless you and your family
Thanks for all ypur hard work. Your voice is so soothing on watching all your clips because most time my heart pounds as if i was inside the transport my self.. My pray is every good struggling human any where in the world will have their prayers and hard work rewarded.. that includes you brining this great documentary to the viewers Much love
No outro país jogam bicicletas, moto, no rio. Quase todos esses países cabem dentro do Brasil.
Makes me go to work with dignity. I laugh at the people that complain about their job, and how much they are not making! Watch these videos and they will become humble real quick and fast. God Bless 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
I’m Brazilian and I can assure that more than 90% of the roads are paved, however once is a very big country, it will vary according to the region and the state. My state, as example, has paved roads to all cities and just few districts (1%) are not paved and I live in northeast region, arguably the poorest of all. In North and Central East regions, you still have unpaved roads, due to very long distances, low population and amazon forest, but in South, Southeast and Northeast, where lives more than 80% of the population, almost all roads are paved
"25 miles to cover, and the passengers are holding their breath" You put that many sweaty people in that small of a vehicle and you'd be holding your breath too
@@donnysath9084 Bacteria cause the smell, not humidity. Granted some cultures do have a form of natural deodorant with their skin releasing an antibacterial, my experience though is that most of those folks come from SE Asia, not central/south America.
The north and northeast Brazil can be easily compared to some place in Africa, while the southeast and south have a lot of developed cities, with great infrastructure and very safe. I’m from a City in SP state(southeast) and when I went for the first time to Bahia (northeast) I was literally shocked with such mess and poverty, I couldn’t believe I was still in Brazil
You are just one more example of how 'national level ignorance' allows corrupt politicians to turn a blind eye to the destruction of the watershed ecosystems of the northeast and north central areas. Corrupt politicians and business quick profit hustlers LOVE BLIND PEOPLE LIKE YOU who live in the dark.
No nordeste é simplesmente a miséria pura (nessas áreas)

It is a great country. I am from Ceará and the temperature doesn't really ever change from around 30C, so it's good if you like a tropical, humid climate.

20:37 I kind of guessed that this video was up to date bcuz the people were wearing mask but when he said covid it blew my mind that brazil still has dirt roads in 2020s
Corruption, we have the better system of subways of LatAm in São Paulo and such thing in Tocantins in same country, how is possible? Understand? Corruption of regional deputades
Escelente documental!!
The strength of the people I see on all of these shows, is like nothing, I have ever scene. Americans don't have a tenth of the grit that they have. Anyone from the U.S wouldn't last a week in their shoes.
I was absolutely convinced these were old documentaries which were being reuploaded. Then they start talking about Covid. The film quality being a little grainy and the absence of "new" things given the impoverished subjects really shows different worlds coexist.

@@deividemoreira7548 Very true, indeed. But this is a local (municipal) ou state road and the mayor / governor (staff) get their kick back from asphalt, not from good engineering. During the Bolsonaro's administration, these foolish public works were not made, all of them had good engineering. It all come back to the usual if and once the Workers' Party is back to power. And it is not true at all that in Brazil only the major roads are paved. Wrong script writing and very poor knowledge of Brazil. Making money on negative propaganda, scattered facts.

I really like the documentaries of your channel, but you need to inform better to pass a true news jair bolsonaro is not to blame for deforestation this comes from years ago since my before-grandparents even because if you research better will see that much deforestation is done by the MST (landless movement) that occupy forest areas to build tents and occupy other territories MST and LULA are allies so you inform better with the content
The description is incorrect. There is no region in the world that reaches 70 degrees C. That would be insane. Highest temperature ever recorded is 56.7 in Death Valley, California.
Very fake. The footage is real, but editing play a big role on this documentaries trying to show the worse each country has to offer. And we feed on someone's disgrace.
If you cut down all the trees, what do you suppose will happen? I wish everyone around the world would understand the value of vegatation and the cost of destroying it.
Sou caminhoneiro no Brasil a 30 anos e conheço todo o país.
Corruption has a daily impact on people's lives. The fact that these poor people have to deal with dirt roads in a country as rich as Brazil is shameful. As the lady said, the money was approved for the project and then disappeared. Someone bought a mansion, new cars, sent their kids to the best schools while these people deal with this on a daily basis. It's incredible how these politicians could care less about their citizens. To have someone spend $20 every month is probably 5% of his pension which they can spend on food. How much did that lady save to buy those tiles for her house that she is likely building bit by bit for the past 10 years. These politicians could care less how their corruption and thievery causes so much heartache and trouble for people, especially poor people who just want to live their lives with dignity and don't bother anyone. It's really incredible. They all deserve to be lined up with face to the wall..old school style.
