It looks like a strong offensive squad with some real backbone. Leaving out players who are underperforming or unfit due to injury is the right move too. Bottom line, no matter how talented the squad is, its really about how they will be coached, the tactics and the leadership.
Exactly. They didnt pass quarterfinal in WC 2006.. that side includes.R9, Ronnie, R Carlos, Kaka, Adriano, Lucio, Dida, Juninho, Gilberto Silva, Emerson. You dont win tournament by having big names on paper.
@robnhood1416 In 2006wc the problem was Zeroberto and Juninho... they had no experience against that solid French team which is how Zidan dominated the match. Edmilson and Kleberson should have been the ones to play. The team had Emerson but he was on the bench Stop blaming the attacking players for the loss Kaka in Milan had Gattuso, pirlo, Seedorf n Ambrossini Ronaldinho at Barca had Deco Edmilson, Motta, xavi, Van Bommel and he won laliga from Zidan and ucl from Henry
The Brasil coach is getting rid of player from 2014/2018 and it is necessary as they have had enough chances The only player who cannot be dropped is Neymar. But he has time to recover for the worldcup. In 2006wc Brasil called up players from 1994 while they had exciting young hungry players for the future

@redpandagency Playing against Argentina isn't easy mate. Brazil's defence is extremely shaky and especially Beraldo and Marqi are so so bad. Without a proper defence there is no way you're gonna win the cup.

Brazil historically is the best team in the history of the world, but it needs to improve a lot if it wants to return to be world champion again. There is a lot of competition world wide and humbly speaking I don't really know what to say given most of the team is new and doesn't have much experience. Dorival Junior has a lot of work to do if he wants to make something of this new team.

This is a brand new Brazil team for 2024. Once upon a time Brazil was the best men's team in the world. They fallen from grace going from being ranked 1 in the world and top favorite for the world title in Qatar 2022, to a decadent mess in Brazil 2023 season with two interim coaches Ramon Menezes and Fernando Diniz. Brazil will not be favorites at all in this Copa America as that will go to defending world champion Argentina, Uruguay also tied with Argentina for most Copa America titles and yes even the USA would be favorites not Brazil. Brazil has to do a lot with Dorival junior to recover the lost prestige and reputation it once had. Only time will tell if this new and inexperienced team with mix of new and some decent talent will translate to success. Dorival Junior the new official coach has a lot of work to do. The global competition for the game has increased. Brazil last world title was back in 2002 in Japan and South Korea and they only been falling to quarterfinals with only one semifinal at home which ended with a disaster to Germany and loss to Netherlands in 2014. The world's most popular sport will be getting the Super Fifa Club world cup in 2025 with 32 teams and the Super Fifa World Cup which will expand to a all time high of 48 teams and it is a massive growth and expansion since the days when the first world championship happened almost 100 years ago in Uruguay in 1930 in South America among the 22 world championships.

@@Youafool500 he didn’t make the squad because the manager is new and before the selection for the copa America,he only had 2 friendly match vs Spain and England and joao Pedro was injured for those games so the coach basically selected the players he called up for those friendlies.its not rocket science.but after the tournament,the wc qualifiers will start again and we will know who is who.Andreas flopped at manutd,joao Pedro never flopped yet at any club
